Who do you think would win this battle?! The god of Fallout 3? Or the pretty strong and bada$$ Joshua?? Please give a reasonable answer on who you chose yeah?

Because if it were guns I'd think Joshua would win and if it was melee Fawkes would win.

Joshua will win, he more motivated. Got more skills.

I don't really know, i mean Fawkes was pretty bad ass and he was intelligent as well. but joshie has some pretty bad ass guns and hes got the tribals on his side but if it was only Fawkes and josh fighting

In almost all scenarios, Fawkes IMO. A super mutant is far more durable than a human, exponentially stronger (in 'real life' melee a Super Mutant would likely kill a human being with a single blow) and even if we're talking about guns, Fawkes uses a laser gatling gun.

Its hard to see a human being with a handgun (or two, which guarantees less accuracy) outlasting a super mutant with a heavy weapon that can fire 100+ times.

Seeing that it took me halve a dozen mini nukes to kill Fawkes, and the fact that Graham has burn and scar tissue to most of his body that will cause a heap of pain, whilst he is very useful with small arms, Fawkes has a Gatling laser which would pulverize anything that tries him. So yeah I think a giant super mutant that is more powerful than standard super mutants might be able to kill a human.

Depends, if Joshua can outsmart him then I don't see why not.

The problem with that is Fawkes is quite intelligent too. Yes, Graham is believed to be tougher than Lanius, but I don't really see how he can fight a mutant like Fawkes, especially after the whole 'set on fire' fiasco.

If you've already forgot he got the entire and possibly only tribe in Zion on his side. True on a 1v1 fight with bare hands Joshua might lose, since obviously mutants are stronger and more durable. But we're talking about a battle in which both can do whatever he/she wants to win the fight. So everything is possible. Joshua is a wiser man now.

True. And that's the real problem with questions like this. 'Fights' and winning conditions could encompass many scenarios and factors. I've always thought that if both parties were willing to work together, that too would be a victory.

At any rate, I do know that, if they were to fight, it'll be one hell of a battle.

Fawkes is enhanced through the FEV. Stonger, bigger, but less intelligent than a normal human. His gatling laser makes him a warmachine. But he hasn't tactics like Joshua. He is more the tactician and more skilled in combat tactics. But I don't think he could win against Fawkes. If Joshua fights alone against Fawkes, he would lose, but if Joshua has his tribe on his side, he has a way better chance to win. But if Fawkes has the Lone Wanderer on his side...

Fawkes does not simply "take damage." In all seriousness though, I believe Joshua couldn't beat Fawkes. Joshua is extremely durable, but with FEV, Fawkes is just tankier. With their signature weapons, Joshua with A Light Shining in Darkness, and Fawkes with his gatling laser and super sledge, there's really no contest. Fawkes wins.

Very good reasons, I agree with a lot of you and yeah Fawkes can beat Graham in a fist fight and yeah Fawkes has a laser gatling gun but Joshua has very good tactics. Good answers though!

I put Fawkes on a car with like 50 mines around him and shot experimental MIRV on it just to kill him. He is so beefy! I think he'd win but lore-wise, if they were to make an actual battle between the two. It would be Joshua, in my opin-onion.

The problem with a 1v1 with these two characters is the scenario; Will Joshua stumble into the Underworld in D.C. and Fawkes mistakes him for Brotherhood, Raider, or Talon Company? Or will Fawkes wander and find himself in Zion while Joshua takes a midnight stroll with his bible in hand and A Light in the Darkness in the other?
How and where these two fight can definitely factor in who is the winner.
But if you want a lore-friendly story it will be that Joshua Graham and Fawkes wouldn't fight at all they would most likely interact with each other until the other found a reason to kill the other. Joshua and Fawkes aren't thee, "Shoot first, ask questions later." type.

Joshua won't leave the Zion Valley that's for sure. He gotta lead the tribe there.

Lore wise, Super mutants are far stronger and tougher than humans, and can regenerate injuries on a much faster scale. Hell, since super mutants weigh north of 800lb, Fawkes can basically jump on Graham and kill him.

So if it's a one on one competition, unless Joshua has some WMD or a suit of power armor, I don't see him taking this one.

Charon would just destroy both with his sniper shotgun but in all seriousness Fawkes for sure, a dumb super mutant is still a force to be reckoned with. But fawkes is intelligent and has a personality, also he's armed with a gatling laser so...Joshua is going down in my opinion.

I agree Charon comes out of nowhere to win this one
