| Im currently using Hitman's 47 enb (the ultra performance version) and i had it working perfectly fine but i reinstalled new vegas because of computer troubles. I started from scratch and reinstalled the enb. I followed the instructions like last time and this started happening in interiors, Buildings with lights and reflections. I've tried completely removing the enb and it goes back to normal but then i turn it back on and it appears again. Any suggestions on what the cause may be? - JJ Abram's Lense Flare lol:

| Indeed i am using 4GB, I tried other enb's and they work perfectly but 47 doesn't seem to work, and it's a shame considering it's my favorite enb as of now. |

| Found this in Lovers Lab.
And found out exactly what it was too, so I didn't have to lose my ENB either. For some reason "bFloatPointRenderTarget" was set to 1, instead of 0. Don't remember changing it, but I might of at one point for something, I just don't remember. But the ENB I use needs it to be set to 0. Once I changed it back to 0, everything was working smoothly again.
This is for skyrim, so I don't know if it will work. _________________ |

| So I found this. Is for Fallout 3 but it might work.
The Fix: The fix for this is an extremely simple fallout.ini settings change. You simply turn off specularity by finding the line reading "bDoSpecularPass" and change the value of 1 to 0. This disables the reflectivity of all textures vanilla and modded, (not including water). I think the visual change isnt noticable at all so you don't have to worry about your game looking worse, and in addition this change slightly improves performance. _________________ |

| Oh sorry, i didn't notice this topic until now. That problem is caused by certain meshes that ether have the wrong shader flag setup or ridiculously high specularity values, which is why disabling specular fixes it, another mesh with this problem is the leather backpack from Project Nevada and the old versions of Willow. Anyway disabling specularity isn't something I'd do personally as it's one of the few lighting effects this game has but if it works it works haha I'm going to release a new ENB (or update, not sure yet) sometime soon that uses different lens fx code that's a lot less sensitive then the stuff that's currently in the ENB, maybe that will help. You could also identify the meshes that are causing this and I could fix them, but if you're happy with it now I'm not sure that's worth doing. Take care and have fun! |
