Me and a couple of friends were talking about are fallout play-throughs and what we were doing and i had brilliant idea to ask all of you lol im just curious what all my fellow fallout enthusiasts are doing or were doing in fallout NV or fallout 3. My current play-through is a techno manic with a army of robots aka robco certified cleaning the wasteland with robots ahhh only if there was a handsome jack mod it would go perfect with my character anyways whats your play-through or was your play-through.

Mine is a lone wanderer type playthrough, he's on no ones side. He's picked up a few rebellious companions along the way. He likes no army, and thinks all their goals are corrupt. He basically kills everyone he sees (except on the strip). He was also a desert ranger. But yeah thats the farthest i've gotten into the story lol.

I'm actually super one dimensional in terms of playthrough. It's always for the NCR. I think I probably did about 10 playthroughs for the NCR. I think I got to the Legion part halfway and than stopped for some reason. I really want to see someone play a playthrough on the Legion side.

I typically try to roll play a bit, though I usually end up breaking character a lot for progress or rewards sake. I also find I'll build my character certain ways if I'm using certain race mods; like when I used the Lightning race it was pure combat and independence all the way. My current playthrough I've been using the Jill Valentine race and I'm just trying to help people and will probably go NCR to bring stability. I'm also leveling sneak and lockpick and tend to mutter 'Master of Unlocking' pretty often.
It's actually been sometime since I've done a proper fallout 3 playthrough, at least one of satisfying length. I always have a bit of trouble keeping it stable while trying to still use good mods, though I know I'm probably using too many. Though I understand there may be a Metroid mod or two somewhere in the threads here that I just can't reach yet, so if there are I may do a Samus playthrough when the time comes. Lore breaking yes, but I always felt Fallout 3's setting could accept a bit more 'separated material' without feeling completely out of place.

I actually did play on the legion side, and if there is ANYTHING i can say about that side, its that the ending sucks and is unrewarding. I felt like a giant douchebag when it was over, and from that day fourth i made a promise to myself, it is to NEVER join the legion again. lol. Unless i'm doing some quest where we must be friends for awhile.

I'm doin a tale of two wastes playthrough. Going to go into the less fun dlc's like Zeta, Sierra Made, and Anchorage to stock up on level and gear before I take over both wastelands. This go around I'm going to let the Ncr think Im woth them up until the moment i get a shot at the president, then when ceasar asks to see me I'll dust him off too.

In Fallout 3, I usually go with becoming the wasteland savior by choosing every option that gives you good karma. Also, I only attack others when I don't have any other choice. However, after beating Fallout New Vegas going the same route I decided to change it up a bit. Now, I play New Vegas as a loner who doesn't side with anyone and is very unpredictable. A Survivor who does what needs to be done!

My current New Vegas play through is on the Legion side. There are the stories of Legion brutality and then there is the protection and stability brought on by the Legion. I go the latter route, being a sort of Legion version of the Rangers, using throwing knives and stealth rather than sniping and traps.
My favorite one so far though was when I used the Mad Science mod and the Grease Monkey perk from PN to create an army of lobtomites and robo scorpion minions!

I made my character the mysterious type, always wearing masks and stuff like that. I made like that so that it made sense why nobody really knows who he is (nobody knows his name, calling him courier and other nicknames like that and the fact that you don't really know what was his life before he got to the mojave). I always choose my game to be lore-friendly.

My character is a drifter. He's nearly given up all hope on the wasteland, but then he meets the Followers of the Apocalypse. Although he feels they're a bit tame, he thinks that they're what's best for the people of the Mojave. He wants an independent wasteland because he doesn't trust anyone else to do what's right for the Mojave.

Mercenary who stalks the wastes alone, not caring who he hurts. As long as he has caps and a bottle of whiskey, hes happy.

I generally side with NCR, but I've done a couple of wild card playthroughs. I've attempted a Legion run once, but I really couldn't get through the story. I just can't stand them, no matter how much I try; from the start everything you do you feel like a total prick.
I usually tend to keep my character focused on a thief persona. High sneak and lockpick ensure you the best loot, and you get to avoid most of the trouble along your way.

I'm doing a role play playthrough. The core part of it is "Fallout Who Vegas" which is based off doctor who. Which incase any of you don't know, the main character for Doctor who is an alien from a race called the "Timelords" named "The Doctor"who can travel in all of time and space, and should the situation come where he's close to death he regenerates, changing every cell in his body. Meaning his personality, looks, everything changes. So long story short, I'm playing the game based on my skills. Right now my "Doctor" has "0" in all "offense" skills(Energy weapons, guns, explosions). So I'm fighting using traps and talking. A sort of pacifist route.

There are two play-throughs in Fallout 3 I have done that stand out in my head. In one, I was playing a Terminator (using Terminator: Cybernetic Dawn), that replaced the Lone Wanderer. Its mission was to eliminate all resistance in the DC area. The first step was to prevent Project Purity from working, then eliminate the Enclave. From there, it was the Bos, the Outcasts, Rivet City, Megaton, Tenpenny Towers, then anyone else deemed a threat. I was able to finish most quests, role-playing them as intelligence and resource gathering missions. Once all the quests in an area or from a NPC were exhausted, I terminated them. I think it was the only "Evil" game I have played.

I sadly can't play fallout out 3 as i screwed up all the files, and my fnv doesn't run very well with the high amounts of mods i use. Once I upgrade my computer and get much better performance in game ill let you know. Usually it entails me stealthily going around with the sword and Chinese stealth suit in FO3 In nv i typically go for long range guns and try to take out everything from a far and play on the hardest difficulty and hardcore mod to go for the more realistic wasteland feeling.
