| I use Nevada Skies, which makes nights very dark. I understand that a lot of people prefer brighter nights, probably why I couldn't find anyone else asking about this. Consequently, the particles in my game have an intense relative brightness (really contradicting the whole 'dark night' look I was going for):

I'm guessing that particle effects in FNV (specifically dust, smoke, or any other particles that wouldn't emit 'light' in real life) were made for vanilla night brightness, but I can't find any texture replacers for them (minus Drumber's Dust Storm mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53863/).
So what I'm asking then is, would these retextures be possible? Are they hardcoded? Do they exist, and I just haven't looked thoroughly enough? Any help is greatly appreciated! |

| Have you tried using ENB? I think you are able to alter stuff like that (Particles) with the "newest" version for F3/FNV. |

I actually recently stopped using it as to negate all the glowing. When was it last updated (The file versions on the website don't seem to be affiliated with an upload date)? I'm currently using ReShade, but if it has seen some progress since my last install I'm all for it. Edit: Just checked the readme's and file modification dates in file explorer, turns out the ENB binary I was using is long since outdated! Excited to see how this one compares. Thanks for prompting this! |

| You can fix the glowing of all windows and other items (when using ENB) by using NifSkop and unchecking the SF_Environment_Mapping flag (under BSShaderPPLightingProperty) from said windows and items (.nif files).
There is also a new mod on Nexus which "fixes" almost all meshes for ENB, not sure what its name was though. |

One problem, I'm back to using Rudy on the new ENB binary, and it looks great, but, I can't uninstall improved lighting shaders without my game producing a black screen. When I enable it, I can see the game, but the lighting glitch is amplified tenfold, and when I disable it (it's incompatible with ENB), my game is black from the main menu. Any ideas? Edit: Disabled ILS and verified game file integrity, fixed. Thanks for your help. |

| Sadly, you have to chose between broken lights or ENB. Wish the creator of ENB would fix this, but he doesn't really seem to care. |

Seems like a weird fix to omit (I'll assume it would take a while). Regardless, this new ENB binary runs very well, and looks a lot better than I remember! Thanks again man. |
