| How can i check and edit what armor an npc will have via FO4edit? I know it can be done with CK but can it so be done with FO4edit as well?

| Are you referring to natural "armour" as in resistances or outfits.
As if it's the latter, well that's going to be more fun based upon Outfits and Level Lists ...
So, let's say you want to see what Scribe Haylen will wear, well, you go to her NPC record and on the right side scroll down until you see "DOFT - Default Outfit" (it's below the Face/Head data)
We see it's "BoSScribeHaylenOutfit [OTFT:000E04A2]" Okay, so now we head to the category "Outfits" and scroll to her outfit, and see it's an actual set of data, not a Level List, so edit there at will.
But let's say we want to edit the Minutemen, well their outfit is "LL_Minutemen_Clothes_or_Armor [LVLI:001BF0CD]" ... oh dear, that's now linked to a Level List so now we need to go to Level Lists.
Away we go to the required LL and we get ... a list of other LL's however, we can instead change those to link directly to outfits, rather than other LL's ...
So yeah, bit complex, but there's a quick rundown. |

| Ahh ok So thats quite easy to do.. So for example if i want to add to a dc guard a power armor i have to take a T45 power armor LL and set it to DCguard DOFT? Or maybe take the Power Armor Form Id (No LL) and place it to DOFT? Thats very helping. Thanks a lot!! _________________ In all things, a calm heart must prevail

| Luckily, I did recently do some work on DC Security, however.
To do PA is different, I'm assuming you want to have random PA's spawning rather than everyone walking around, however this just means saving a step.
Firstly, I do not think there's even a way to have random NPC's spawn with PA at all in Fallout 4 because of one line "PRFN - Power Armour Stand" This is what all PA wearing NPC's have on them, so you have to deal with that firstly.
So, if you want random DC Security wearing PA, the best option is to do "Copy as new record" and add _PA to the name, or something to make it noticeable, and then put the required PA LL record into that.
However, this does also require creating a "Furniture" record as well, but looking at BoS will help there greatly.
Now with that, you have to add it to the Levelled NPC list, this is the reason I linked my mod, it has that loud and present, do you don't need to dig around too much for it, if you don't mind, it's "LCharSecurityDiamondCity"
As for spawning NPC's with a certain PA colour/decal loadout that requires changing the "Object Template" to what you desire, same with weapon mods. |

| Hmm
Anyways i have to look further for adding PA to an npc as it seems i will need to have a clean brain and some time to figure things out.. Although for the moment i want a specific npc to wear one armor always. For example now i want to make the \\EncSecurityDiamondCityM01\\ to spawn always with a full set of combat armor and rename him to Dimond City Advanced Security or something.. While the \\EncSecurityDiamondCityTemplate00\\ will spawn with his vanilla armor. _________________ In all things, a calm heart must prevail
