Hey, I'm recently new to this whole modding thing, but I think I might have gained an addiction for modding... Either way, that's not the point. After downloading and installing dragbody's FO4 Power Armors mod I (like many others) fell in love with the mod, but there is one glitch that is killing me inside every time I boot up the game.
Whenever I'm using any T-60 Armor model for some reason the arm-plates on the right arm are non-existing in 1st person (in 3rd person they are there), and only the arm frame is visible. Mind you, they are missing on the right arm, so a pipboy issue is out of the question. I've searched through the whole forum for answers but so far I haven't found the solution. I even went so far as to try and modify the armor's mesh, but to no avail soooo... can someone help me?

Sure thing, here they are. Sorry for not posting with the original, I'm not very used to this. I've been thinking and maybe it's a clipping issue with the torso piece? If you want I can give you my load order too (btw tried to reinstall the two updated versions that exist in the thread, didn't work).

Yup, now that I remember, ever since I wore my first suit of T-60 power armor. I did try removing the Enhanced Camera but still no dice. I'm gonna send the load order (pls don't judge me for some of the mods, I'm a lonely virgin kek-praising 4chan user ;-Wink.

EDIT: I do realize that I also have a bigger number of plugins than the working limit, gonna solve that too.

I'm a little frustrated. I'd written out 3 paragraphs of information in the text field to try and set you on track and then I accidentally pressed back (was using my phone) and I lost the whole darn thing. Waiting

I'll try and summarise what I was going to say (cue bulletpoints):

* Such a glitch would have been found during testing and already fixed by now
* Over 140 plugins will cause unintended issues.
* As a rule of thumb, do not post bug reports unless you are below that threshold.
* I suggest no more than 110-120 plugins - the closer to 140, the more bullshit ensues.
* Try running FO4 Power Armors on a vanilla build first (on a new game) to be sure that it's just this mod causing the problem
* Your load order is pretty crazy. It's normal for new mod users to go a little wild, but you need to approach things a little more conservatively or you're going to almost always end up with a lot of painful headaches - as will the folks trying to help you troubleshoot.
* You don't appear to have run your load order through https://loot.github.io/, and there are no merged or bashed patches to speak of.
* Scanning down your mod list...
* IWR.esm is an extremely old and depreciated mod (last update to it was before the last two NV DLCs were released) - do not use.
* YUP and Mission Mojave should not be used together! I recommend using YUP only. It's updated to this day.
* As a rule of thumb, I wouldn't use mods that haven't been updated in 7 years - wsex.esm, Rustyhwys.esp to name a few.
* CAGE - Continue After Games Ending has a lot of bugs that still haven't been addressed in over 3 years.
* Pretty sure you should only be running one of these esps: Centered 3rd Person Camera.esp or Centered 3rd Person Camera - Unraised.esp - not both at the same time.
* From what I know of Skyrim's DynDoLod, it doesn't seem normal for these mods to be in their current load order postion: tmzLODadditions.esp, MuchNeededLOD.esp, FNVLODGen.esp - they're normally added at the end of your load order
* Kind of get the feeling that MikotoBeauty should not be used with FCO - could be wrong on that, though.
* FCO - GlowingOne.esp is going to cause you sever performance issues in the Searchlight area.
* There should be an ADAM - Merged mod flying about instead of having to use 8 plugins for it.
* Some of your Project Nevada patches near the bottom seem to be in the wrong place to me.
* You're then using Powered Power Armor, Immersive Power Armor along with FO4 Power Armors - FNV Standard Edition.esp AND FO4PowerArmor.esp (the latter is an older version of the penultimate mod - should never under any circumstances be used together). I'm not even sure of how compatible PPA and IPA are let alone two instances of FO4 PA thrown into this mix. This is likely the cause of your problem. You only need FO4 Power Armors - FNV Standard Edition.esp (!!!)

My advice to you, especially where the last bullet point is concerned, is - and not to sound too harsh - you need to start carefully reading the descriptions to the mods you're installing and not just install things willy-nilly. I know it's tempting to think that all of these mods can work together and you'll have the greatest ever modded FNV experience, but I've picked out 3-4 major incompatibilities or red flags before I even got to addressing your main issue.

You need to go back to the drawing board. Limit your plugin count drastically, avoid these old, bug-riddled porn and defunct mods and make sure that you use a merged and bashed patch at the end of your load order to tie up any loose ends.

I cannot replicate the problem you're having here, so I'm almost certain it's a mod conflict on your end.

Start again. Use Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex.
Use the guide I've linked as a baseline and work from there.

Jeez, I don't know what to say. I did end up reducing the load order to the limit (137 from what I read) and even combined some plugins so I could still use these many mods, but I understand that I may have been trying to fix a broken vase with silly putty (expression). Sorry for the trouble and confusion I may have caused (and for that little accident you had with your phone TheHermit) and I promise to follow these instructions to the letter! It was not my intent to break guideline rules and if needed I can delete the topic although your fix might be useful so I'll try to archive it instead (not sure how to do it though). Thank you for the help.

P.S.: The appearance of the second FO4 Power Armor plugin was a mistake of mine when copying the load order and organizing it prior to the post. Didn't notice it and it could have caused confusion so I promise to be more careful in the future

P.P.S: Nevermind, the second FO4 Power Armor plugin is a new mod which adds fallout 4 functions to power armor XD

Don't get me wrong, it's not that there's some "set-in-stone rules and guidelines that everyone must follow or else". It's more just a few tips that make everyone's life easier in the long run.

What I personally do when it comes to modding is research, research, test and test before ever starting a new game. In some cases, if I even sense that two mods could have the slightest conflict with each other, I'll make a tough decision and end up sacrificing one of them. I prefer lighter weight mods too. And will only install something like EVE if I intend to make my player character an energy weapons users, for example.

If I look to my current load order, I have 78 plugins, including bashed patch.
It's mostly limited to retextures, unofficial patches (YUP), someguy2000 quest mods, New Vegas Redesigned, JSawyer Ultimate, a weather mod like FNVRWL, and dragbody's faction overhauls. I don't even use Weapons of the New Millenia these days. Just a nice retexture for the vanilla weapons.

Anyway, looked into the bug. There was a mis-named mesh. Drag has already sent me fixes (haven't tested yet), but I'll include them in the next update. Can't say when it will be, though. It's a fairly big update. Focus on building a nice clean load order for now, though. And if you need anymore tips, find me on Discord: TheHermit#3590

I'm pleased to say, the mesh fix now works. I'll now need to apply this fix to all of the T60 meshes. Expect it in future updates.
