| Personally, I don't really care about having functional vehicles in Fallout.
However, something I would be interested in seeing would be a potential Horse Mount (it could be like a mutated horse, or something like that).
But yeah, do you want driveable vehicles in Fallout 5? |

| Yes, please. We know people like the BoS have the tech to use and repair vehicles, so I can't see why we couldn't have some military vehicles. Obviously it wouldn't make sense to have private cars running around, but the player and some NPCs (again the BoS) could have access to motorcycles and some kind of military land vehicles. |

| I don't know how I would feel about seeing automobiles in Fallout 5. I mean the great war was really started because of a lack of oil. Although atomic powered cars were and could be a thing I personally wouldn't like to see it. Especially because if the game is set somewhere with a urban setting it would be pretty difficult to have cars be a useful game play mechanic as I would imagine having all that rubble would get in the way. Although like what you said, some sort of mountable horse or something would be really interesting and cool. But Bethesda in my opinion needs to focus more on fixing what Fallout 4 did wrong so that Fallout 5 can be a much better game. However pondering what a Fallout game would be like with usable vehicles in it is quite intriguing. _________________ |

| I'd rather not, I think it'd be horrible for the series and blur the line even more between Fallout and Mad Max. A creature mount I could maybe see, but full blown vehicles along the lines of cars, trucks, etc - No thank you. _________________ And I find, on my way to death and happiness, that my heroes, my heroes dress in black.

| There was a single repairable car in fallout 2, but it's been a long time in-game since that era. A large number of working vehicles would be a tittle hard to believe in light of that, but perhaps that could be the whole plot. If the brotherhood or shi could produce vertibirds and airships, there could be a new story about someone planning to try to bring cars back. But there probably just should be random working cars without a really good reason. Even one would be very, very special without a car-building faction. |

| Problem with vehicles is you realize how small the map actually is in FO3,FNV,FO4 and Skyrim.
Believe it or not, but they are tiny. The mountains are what make us think it's larger because it takes so much time to travel across.
I would love to see horses in a future Fallout though, would make a lot of sense and be a ton of fun. _________________ ____________________________________________________________

| Hmmm there's an ongoing discussion in a STALKER Facebook group about this very subject. Like before me have said, you'll quickly realise how small the maps are if you can just hop in a vehicle and drive from point A, to point B unless... Having given the game SpinTires a whirl, specifically the MudRunner one, providing vehicles are balanced and don't make it too easy to just drive around, I think it could work, also providing the maps are a lot larger. And considering there are Vertibirds flying around it'd make sense that ground vehicles too, would exist. _________________ "From the uncertainties the god-mind knows and from the nothingness all the wines flow..." | It depends how shit it looks, and also how common vehicles are
As a novelty, something rare that you have to really work for then yeah it'd be awesome
Something like Mad Max then no, it'd ruin the atmosphere of Fallout for me personally _________________ - My YouTube - |

| Yes as someone who loves the idea of Fallout Van Buren and Tactics yes there's no reason why vehicles or some mode of mount or travel even caravan lines shouldn't be in the game. Just have it old school and whenever you travel and have a encounter it's a huge wasteland sandbox sorta how the Mad Max game was. _________________ the messages ov the old world still persist and find meaning in the present most cant/wont hear the weight in their feet either for good or worse in the messages they speak to one another in truth we are all couriers carrying unknown messages.

| No because the engine is terribly optimised for this type of thing. Plenty of mods have tried this for Fallout, and they're great, but for me, they all suffer from the same issue, which is the unnatural way they look when they move. Even horse travel in a game like Skyrim looks and feels so awkward and janky. Imagine that with a massive model, like a car. Unless they can rework the physics for the engine, then I'd sooner them put the effort into other more important areas. A car would be fun, but much like my issue with Fallout 4's settlement building, these should be additional content, not the system the game is built around. _________________ Muwahahahahahahaha!!!What do you mean evil laugh!? | You could get a car in Fallout 2, it might be a good way of regulating fast travel? |

| No, not really. The game world would really need to be designed around "on foot" travel or "in vehicle" travel. If you try to mix both, it becomes too large to walk through, but too small to bother driving around.
Personally, I prefer no vehicles, but I could see a vehicle based spin-off or DLC being interesting (with some heavy nods to Mad Max). |

| The only way I can see it working was that if it was a kind of fast travel, or if Bethesda actually puts out a completely new engine that can handle cars with a word designed to need cars, (size, driveable areas, etc.) But lore-wise, it's not impossible. |

| Maybe SUVs and offroad vehicles, in the end I don't think driveable vehicles fit in to Fallout well. but that's just my opinion. |

| To the people against vehicles, do you believe that fallout 2 was wrong to include a repairable working car? Vehicles really are part of the lore. The fallout wiki says that the NCR has a mechanized division, trucks, jeeps, tanks and a working train. I mean, you gotta wonder where they are in New Vegas, but who knows. Maybe they're being kept out of combat zones where the NCR could lose them to the enemy, being kept under guard for home defense. I assume the people who are against all cars are relatively new players, post-dating the original two games. But to an old timer like me, cars are just a thing that can exist in fallout, alongside talking animals and star trek phasers and dr who and the monty python and the holy hand grenade. Yeah, the newer games really cut back on the weirdness and the potential copyright violations. |

| I'm an old player - Played all games except BoS - I still believe firmly that adding working, common cars would damage the Fallout setting. A few small instances that never affect the player? Sure, I'm fine with that. Giving the player a car or making them fight people who are driving around in cars? No thank-you. _________________ And I find, on my way to death and happiness, that my heroes, my heroes dress in black.

| I don't think cars would be necessarily bad, I just think that there needs to be a huge difference in how the world is built and I don't know if it'll still feel like Fallout after that. The map would have to be significantly larger than what we've seen before in the 3D fallouts. Then again, building a world for vehicles could result in the same thing that is present in, for example, GTA V: a whole lot of nothingness.
One thing I've always wondered about though is why there's no Radhorse or something along the lines in Fallout. If FO5 is built like the ones before in terms of map size and density, this would be the best way of travelling in my opinion. |

I wouldn't mind tramping around on a robotic horse. =D _________________ And I find, on my way to death and happiness, that my heroes, my heroes dress in black.

| I wouldn't mind a ATV, quad or dirt bike or something similar in size, it could be up gradable to add more containers or better armour, I don't think big vehicles should be a thing apart form one off's like boats, tanks and stuff like that. |

| Here tbf, I think we can all agree that an adult sized Giddy-Up-Buttercup would be amazing . It's also great to see what y'all think, in order to incorporate vehicles, Bethesda would have to completely transform the way that their worlds operate i.e. You couldn't really have burned out cars everyone because it would just get in the way. I love the idea of a horse mount tbh, and I could see it as a way of overcoming the Fast Travel issue. If you had the features of a mod like Convenient Horses in Fallout 5 Base Game, then it could be great. (Maybe have companions ride on the back of your horse for a reduction in movement speed? P.s. I'm just imagining Dogmeat on a horse and I NEED THAT IN MY LIFE) |
