Hello there

Just curious to see where everyone would like to see the next Fallout take place.

Personally, I would love to see a completely different location, like London or China. I think whilst there are many more great cities that could be explored in America, the lore and creative opportunities for say a London location could be great.

Just imagine the Beefeaters as a faction, or a crazy raider faction held up in the Tower of London, wearing the Crown Jewels.

So yeah, where would you all like to see Fallout 5 take place?

I too think a UK fallout would be fascinating. Although they will most likely stick with America i think maybe Alaska or something so we get a completely different sort of weather and setting or maybe really far south state

Aye they probably will.

Alaska is a good shout, wouldn't mind seeing something a New York, with each Island split up into big factions (E.g. Enclave on one side, BoS on another, some other faction caught in the middle), just something different.

Alaska or any similar very cold setting would be good for a change - for now we had only deserts and autumn presets.
Florida would be fine too, like marshes in Point Lookout.
As mentioned above, any non US location would be fresh, but I dont think anyone else mastered miniaturized nuclear fission. Afaik EU collapsed to tiny countries fighting for scraps, when oil runs out.

We do know england is functioning to some extent post war due to tenpenny coming from there but other than that we know very little outside of america.

I feel like alaska would be a good bet considering its been setup in pretty much all the games as i think they all reference alaska in some extent, As well as that fallout 3 dlc.

You would have bethesda's favourite faction with the brotherhoods headquarters situated in alaska i believe in lore, you could have remnants of the chinese maybe ghouls or something. We could get new unique gear due to the cold climate setting. Would be cool to see some power armor designed specifically for the cold weather. Maybe unique weather as well like i dunno rad blizzards or something.

There's nothing pertaining to postwar-Alaska in the lore. Pretty much a blank slate.

As for non-US locations, I think the only one that would truly work would be Canada. Fallout has always been tied to the US 1950s era style and feel (especially since Bethesda took over), so to go anywhere else like London, or especially some place as foreign as China would be a complete shift in tone. The only reason I think Canada would work is because of its annexation by the US before the Great War, and we've never really seen in game what became of that.

That's fair, although I also think that maybe a complete shift in tone could be good as well (obviously depending if it's done well).

I just like the idea of exploring a completely separate part of the Fallout world then what has been focused on so far.

american southwest. Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah. No more east coast cities. DLCs could be northern Mexico, Texas, maybe west Canada and Baja. Overseas fallout settings don't really fit. Let alone traveling across the ocean in a post apocalyptic setting is a little fantastical. Just like walking across an entire country and surviving.

Baja would be a great one. They mention in NV that's where the Ranger Veterans come from just before Hoover Dam 2. It'd be cool to see the badass things they do to earn the title Ranger Veteran.

Somewhere near Canada. We've yet to see a Fallout game really set in a cold climate so it'd be nice to see some regular snow and whatnot. Also, it'd be funny to see a faction of post apocalyptic mounties and maple syrup alcoholic drinks

Part of why I'm excited for The Frontier.

Nuclear winter hit Oregon hard. Devs said cold will play a role and you have to be mindful of it.

Hahaha yes, I'd love to see Post Apocalyptic Ireland (although I suppose I'm biased for it.

Just imagining Belfast or Dublin after the bombs.

And if you really wanna get stereotypical, a faction of "leprechauns", although that may be crossing a line lol.

I do like the idea of going to a cold environment, like Alaska or someone where like that though, for a completely different experience.

(imo) I really loved that "old west" theme of Fallout New vegas, so It would be interesting another fallout set in a desert, something like red dead redemption.

I'd love to see the Northwest! I mean breaking out of the United States seems like a bit much, but we haven't really gone that far North before, just before the border into Canada?

OR

We can have a whole game set in Alaska? I know that it's not all snow up there, but it could be a good excuse for some Nuclear Winter type settings.
