| So it's not unusual that I'll have a ton of mods in New Vegas, and something from the vanilla game won't work right. It won't be clear why it's not working right since I don't have any mods that affect it. The general attitude and advice in a case like that is to slowly remove and test one mod at a time. But now that the mod limit is gone, my mod limit is just too big to remove one at a time, reloading after each one. Not to mention that removing some mods can cause all kinds of additional problems apparently. I can't help but think there has to be a better way to find out which mod is busting some aspect of the vanilla game that it shouldn't be touching at all. A big one is that the silver rush execution doesn't happen when I'm using mods, but when I drop all the mods, it works -- but I sure as hell don't want to tediously drop one mod at a time until I figure out the culprit. That could take a long, long time. |

| Of course I read the descriptions and know mods can conflict, that's my whole point. I've got a conflict or a bug and I don't know how to figure out which one is causing it. When you all hit a bug, do you really truly just disable one mod at a time until you find the culprit? Is that really what everyone does? That's...oh my god so horrifyingly tedious. I'm glad this didn't happen in fallout 4 or skyrim, where I'm often running 300+ mods. I've only got around 150. I really, really hope I don't have to take a day and disable them one at a time. |
