Hey everyone! Honestly I don't even know how to start. Before I began to write this post, I pretty much had a short story in my head, going through all the events since I've been active here. Ultimately I decided I won't bore you with that. Just a short version. I used to be pretty active. This community helped me through some hard times. I was depressed, had no job, all that kind of stuff. I was sitting on my butt all day, playing and modding New Vegas, and hanging out here for hours sometimes. It was my escape, and it really helped. People started to recognize my name, I even started my own little projects. Lots of stuff happened after that. Moved to another country, started a new job, a new life basically. I really don't want to go into details though. Recently I found my way back to New Vegas. So I thought I should check out what's going on here nowdays. Feels good to see this familiar site. I don't know if I'll be able to stick around for a longer period of time, my life is really different now. But I'll try. See you all! _________________

@scrab20It's hard not to enjoy NV. I'm also giving Fallout 4 a proper go this time. I could never get into it for some reason, tried twice, deleted it after a few hours both times. This time it's actually growing on me. I needed 30-40 hours with it, before I started to appreciate it, and I just had to accept the fact that it's more of an action game instead of a "hardcore" RPG. Thanks for stopping by, have a great day mate! _________________

Thanks mate! Glad you're back too then. Yeah I'm a huge Conan fan, although I'm more crazy about the original stories than the movies. Basically they have nothing to do with Howard's Conan. But I still like the movies for what they are. Especially the music, and some iconic scenes, they are inseparable from the "Conan universe". _________________ |

@Drutar I made the mistake of watching the latest Conan this year after years of telling myself not to, can honestly say i hate myself for doing so as it was pure garbage 0.o Do you have the audio books of Howard's work? if not i can hook you up with them for free if you like, Beyond the black river was one of my favs

@FidllerYeah, maybe. Looking at the join dates, I wouldn't be surprised if we used to reply to each other's posts all the time, I'm also having a hard time remembering all the specific user names. I remember the hard-core veterans of course, I mean those who were already veterans 5 years ago. Looks like you're a veteran yourself by now. Thanks for the welcome. @Ashi Itachi Watching that movie was a mistake allright. Why'd you do it nine years after it's release? I mean you probably avoided it this long for a reason. Anyway I actually watched it in the cinema when it came out, I was really excited. It was a huge dissapointment, but it's still hard for me to hate that movie. I was a senior in high school, I took a girl with me to see it. That girl is going to be my wife now. To answer your question, I don't have any Conan audio books, so how I could I say no to that offer? I have the hardback version of the "Complete Chronicles" tho, I just rarely ever touch it. I usually read in bed, so any book I take with me is at God's mercy after I fall asleep. that book is just too nice for that. _________________

@Drutar Ha congrats fella! yeah i should of stayed away but bordom got the better of me, i mean dont get me wrong Conan the destroyer (1984) was bad, but i liked it for its cheesyness ha but that movie was something entirely diff! and here you go fella, free downloads to all of Robert E. Howard's works, its all in the public domain, admins so dont come down on me! its not Conan related, but i highly suggest the audio books by William Hope Hodgson, House on the borderlands and The night land, good stuff! anyways here you go fella, enjoy ! https://librivox.org/author/937?primary_key=937&search_category=author&search_page=1&search_form=get_results

Yeah, Destroyer was cheesy as Hell, but it had a charm to it. Not a good movie, but still enjoyable. Thanks a lot, I'll make sure to check those out as well. _________________
