I made another bug thread about this before and I don't know if I should've combined the two or not, so I apologize if I should have. I figured it probably would be easier if I just made a general "Help me with my companion" thread instead. Again, I apologize if I did it incorrectly.

Anyways, down to the nitty gritty. I'm trying to make my first public mod, which is going to be a companion. He's still in alpha stage of course. However, I think this guy has potential. Now, after I was graciously recommended a great tutorial by Brigand 231 (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45278/? ) , I created a simple version of my companion. That being said, there are still a few bugs to fix.

Here are a couple problems that have arouse so far that I thought you guys might be able to help me with:
1. My companion doesn't seem to talk about tactics, although the tactics work before he's hired and on the companion wheel.
2. The tutorial didn't explain how to change the end of normal conversation, which causes his response to be a vanilla character's.

1 - does the topic come out during the dialogue? if it doesn't, I would double check if that topic is linked with the other ones, on the right boxes (Topics or Choices), and I would check if the conditions are satisfied

2 - you can create a new topic on the left column, with a new ID, write what you want, flag Goodbye and then replace it to the vanilla goodbye you are actually using, linking it with your existing topics
