For my own curiosity, I was just wondering, who here plays a male character more often than a female or vice versa? I tend to lean more towards female characters in video games, for the almost exclusively having better looking models (especially where mods are concerned), but I could imagine that for players that want to feel more "connected" to their representation on the screen might want to stick with their own gender as it helps them be more relatable? I just wanted to see what the trend was, for my own interest.

Personally when it comes to rpg's,I mostly play as a dude because,well,I am a dude. And as you said,it is so that I can more easily project myself into my character.

I play both. Especially because I love to play completely different characters for each playthrough in RPGs. Moreover, there is great mods for both genders, so I can experiment and freshen my load order regularly.
