For two days I have struggled with LOD mods and I haven't found a real solution yet.
I almost follow the Viva New Vegas LOD section.

The only exception is that I use George's new texture pack, which overwrites MGs NCR, NMCs and OJO Bueno in my load order.
When I want to use mod such as LOD Additions And Improvements, Much Needed LOD and FNV Bueno LOD Texture Patch, and then generate LOD, the Lucky tower LOD becomes ugly, only the structure remains or it is almost invisible.

Maybe a LOD specialist could explain me what I'm doing wrong. If I'm not making progress in this matter, I will renounce to generate LOD and use pre-made LOD mods. But I want to understand.
I'm waiting for your wise advices.

How large is your load order?

Is the only broken LOD the Lucky 38? Because if so, sometimes having just one minor broken item isn't necessarily enough to give up on it. LODs can be super finicky, and it might be fine to just let go of one inconvenience. If I can think of anything, I'll let you know - I'm in the process of rebuilding my LODs as well.

I had a similar problem when using NMC - some textures were too large for the game to handle, causing lodgen to skip the lod generation. This caused some many structures to become partially invisible from the distance. In my case, the problem was in the nv_rocks folder, nv_rockcanyonblklod_d.dds and nv_rockcanyonlod_d.dds in particular. They are 4 times bigger than they should, so if you're having the same problem, you can try resizing them in paint.net. If it's not the rocks folder, perhaps some other texture is causing it. Is lodgen giving you any errors?
