| When we talk about which main faction ending we prefer, are we generally answering what we, our real life selves would like? Or what our favorite courier preferred?
On one hand, I used to assume most people were influenced by their real-life selves, in that very few seemed to say that Caesar was blatantly the right choice. Most of us, as far as I know, do not live in a slave society run by an absolute uncontested dictator.
My "main" courier went with the independent ending. I'd been planning for him to go with House but House wanted the destruction of the brotherhood, and if you mess with that courier's Veronica, you're dead. I wasn't going to slaughter the family of my courier's only friend. And this courier simply saw no use for NCR conquest and taxation, and Caesar and way too much "If you talk like that again I'll kill you." Sure you will, big guy, sure you will. Whoops, no, wait you're dead. Too bad,Caesar, that you back-talked my courier like that. That courier, I assumed, was a rugged cowboy type who grew up in the apocalyptic wasteland and wasn't really all that used or in need of "modern" comforts, laws, culture, etc, nor a dictator who actually thought his threats were anything scarier than a child's tantrum.
But in real life? If I were a fallout 4 sole survivor out of time? I'd throw myself at the NCR so fast it wouldn't be funny (even while admitting that they aren't perfect). It's the most like the world I knew, and... I sure as hell don't want to live in a pre-war crumbling ruin. I like my warm, clean, non-pre-war-ruin home. My courier and I wouldn't get along too well, I think. |

| I'd only slow the Courier down. |

| Me and my Courier would be getting along just fine. I don't care about politics and we would just mind our own business and do the things which we feel is right. I don't see the world as black and white, so I wouldn't pick The NCR or The Legion, both has their good and bad side.
For my normal runs I always pick Yes Man. _________________ Walking down an unknown road |

| @ Sirdanest To be honest, whenever I play an RPG for the first time. I will always try to project myself into my character as much as possible. So I would definitely say that me and my courier would be one of the same. However, when I create and portray alter egos, and their couriers, it would produce a wildly varied amount of results. Some would be my best friend, other would be my arch-nemesis, some would be somewhere in between, and we'd probably avoid and not associate with each other. |

| Yeah, my first time is usually close to my own personality within reason and the setting. "See the world burn" is for another playthrough. |

| I'd think I'd make great friends with him. A large majority of my characters are based on me in certain ways. I think that myself and courier would get along perfectly. It'd most likely end with both of us supporting the legion due to the fact I have a liking of the Roman Empire. Whilst this may not be a big reply, It's really all I've got to say on this topic.
AVE, TRUE TO CAESAR! |
