TTW with mod organizer Empty
PostSubject: TTW with mod organizer   TTW with mod organizer EmptyWed Oct 08, 2014 8:09 pm

I use mod organizer for modding New Vegas and I would like to use it for Tale of Two Wastelands and I have installed TTW before with NMM. However, I know that the installer puts the files into the data folder, and Mod Organizer doesn't install in the data folder directly. I want to install TTW with one profile and have a regular New Vegas in another, so if anyone knows how to install TTW for just one profile I would greatly appreciate it.

It is advised to use FOMM for the installation.. Now that being said for someone using MO is a drag..

I haven't done it yet but I also want to use TTW and am planing on using MO for my managing needs.. From my understanding, at least in principle, I can use FOMM through MO as an executable. FOMM would work as any other time. The mods installed through this would show up in the end in the overwrite folder. Then you should be able to copy paste the files into a folder outside of Mo. then create a mod from that. Then you can install and uninstall the files.

This trick is needed for HUD mods according to MO's STEP page as well since the HUD Mods require seeing the other mods installed at the same time.

In the end .. I believe you would restart FOMM and uninstall the mod ( this case TTW) and the data folder would be clean again. Of course after you created a mod out of it. Keep in mind FOMM will have a S@%* fit if you remove the files by creating a mod using MO overwrite folder. It freaks out so uninstalling it later after you are finished creating it will likely be better.

As I stated I haven't used this process yet myself. Just researched it heavily as I am fixing up my Skyrim to the way I like it .. Then I will move to the fallout universe. Let me know how this or other trick you use works.
