You know what a new year means?!? It means it is almost time for the fourth annual New Vegas New Year

As you know, we are starting our play this year on Feb 1st instead of Jan 1st. What does that mean for January though?

It means we can take the next month to some/all/none of the following:

1. build your Courier
2. write their backstory
3. write a short story on your Courier's origin
4. build your load order
5. make a post about the mods released in 2019 you are adding to your load order this year
6. finish some mods you are working on (If your name is dragbody, then that means finishing the Legion)

The rules for the playthrough are simple.

1. Create a new character and start a new playthrough on or shortly after Feb 1st, 2020.
   
2. Play and share your screenshots and/or short stories during the month.
   
3. (Optional) Conclude your game by the end of the month.
   
4. (Optional) Share a character profile on this thread
   

If you intend to join, please announce your intention here and I will keep a running list going of participating members.

In case you are wondering, this New Vegas playthrough welcomes TTW players as well. For that matter, any special stipulation about your playthrough that you fear may disqualify you from participating, don't worry about it! Creativity is encouraged! Try a new style of play. Try an alternative start. Make different choices than you usually do. (Play for the Legion! Haha) Have fun and experiment! As long as you start a brand new game on or shortly after Feb 1st, you are in

Woohoo! I'm excited for this one. I haven't been active on GUN for a while so this will be the perfect time to get back into the groove of things. I have a feeling this Community Playthrough is gonna be very special.

Oh man... I'm going to be at boot camp this February-April.. Does it matter how late we start?

You could play in January and share your images and story just before leaving. April/May will be a little late and this thread will likely be cold by then. But some of us may keep it going so we’ll see!

I definitely will be participating. I just need time to get my new computer running. I'll fill out the template, but do you have any examples from previous years to help me with? I might get way into it and don't want to over do it.

I keep missing out on this and unfortunately, I still can't attend this annual playthrough as life for me is getting busier and sadly more depressing. But as always, I love reading these stories that you guys post. That's one great thing to look forward to.

I’m in for 2020, though my screens won’t be top notch, my computers ability to run enb has Diminished. Still excited though!

Hello everyone!

I'm sorry I haven't posted in this thread a more. Real-life continues to be busy and I'm still plugging away hard trying to finish the Legion mod.

I won't have the Legion completed before 2/1 so I will be starting the playthrough a little late. If you want to wait to start your playthrough until the legion mod is ready too, then that's totally cool. But please don't wait for me if you want to get started!

I'd love to see some courier profiles! I can't wait to introduce you to my Legion courier, Charlie "Calligula" McAllister!

This is amazing, I am already in a new playthrough, I wish I had known about this sooner! I can't wait for your next few mods drag, I am super excited for the raider overhaul and the new leigon overhaul. I am trying to get permission for legion will ryse ASAP because I really want to try out some of your amazing mods.

EDIT: Making my courier profile card right now, it should be done by tomorrow.

Might be able to join in this year assuming I can make the time to stop modding and actually play the game.
