| @BadBoyBuddy - first off, welcome to GUN. It's a great community and we will help where we can. Modding FO4 or any game for that matter requires time and patience on your part. There is no drag it in and hit the start button and you're off and running. If you are going to start modding your game start at the beginning. Here's is a series of vids. Follow them closely and then ask what you need here and we will do our best. Go through all the steps and all the vids.

Then when you get stuck (we all do) give us your PC specs as well. Your PC has to have minimum specs to run the stock game to begin with, but even a bit more to mod successfully.
There is another guide here that I recommend for FO4 because it will offer a weaker PC the chance for really good performance modded. Only after those first vids -
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23556
and to make it compatible with the Mod Organizer 2 that you watched to get started -
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/36915
Hope that helps.

| Thank you for the warm welcome I have a great computer that runs Fallout 4 with ease Im specifically trying to download the Clone Armory mod, and I will follow this site, I'm at the caliber of my 97 year old grandpa when it comes to knowing how to mess with files, I have Vortex installed which does it for me so this is very new and very confusing thanks for showing me the way hopefully I will not screw it up |

I'm not familiar with Vortex, but it should load that mod just like any other mod through Vortex. Just make sure it is activated in Vortex. |

| @BadBoyBubby I personally would recommend to use MO2 INSTEAD of vortex, it really isn't a good mod manager. And MO2 allows you to be able to install all mods that require manual install to be done with mod manager (EXCLUDING mods like F4SE, and ENBs, im not familiar with FO4 modding since 2017 so i cant say for sure) Welcome to the site, also! |

Great advice here, certainly what I recommend as well! MO2 might be a bit of a learning curve for people familiar with NMM or FOMM but it certainly has become the gold standard. MO2 does not install mods directly into the data folder, rather it does it via a proxy folder. With this setup, you can load separate profiles with completely different load orders almost instantaneously. It has saved me centuries of time when it comes to modding or testing mods _________________ ____________________________________________________________
