Just a question about the demotion for inctivity. I'm having problems with my internet and computer, so, i don't know if anyone ever noticed but, i'm getting quite inactive. I still take a look around the forum quite often but, i'm not being much active as i used to be due to my internet conections, because it is shitty and it is guetting worse. And my computer is getting pretty wierd, having blue screens of death, general problems, it is even screwing with my FNV. I last played NV 8 hours ago because my game stop working when loading save files, and i'm creating chars after chars and it always corrupt my save files. And yesterday i had to do a fresh reinstall because it became unplayable. Am i still typing? Sorry. Back to the question, how long do you have to be inactive to be demoted?

inactivity demotions are simple: when someone's last post was 4 months ago and his/her last visit was Yesterday he or she is demoted
it still takes 5 votes from the staff to validate it, though and they may regain their status by regaining their activity so I don't think we're being unreasonable
as for a specific time period, we don't have one. typically over 3 months that means it could be 3 months and a week or a year sometimes it could be 2 months and a half, but only with special circumstances.
also, worth mentioning, if you haven't deduced it yet, is that if a user's last post was 4 months ago, and the last time he/she logged in was then as well, then we'll probably not demote.
should you log in, you might as well post. not daily, but regularly. we're an active community and the entire approval system is to prevent leeches, trolls, thieves and spamming. logging in regularly but having last posted half a year ago is leeching.

If you are busy irl that's no problem at all. We understand how hectic life can be. So don't feel like we're forcing you to post. Take care of your business and come back to us. If you believe you were unfairly demoted, pm one of the staff and we'd be more than willing to work things out.
