Hello everyone,

I've been a member for a couple months and peeked in and out at some mods from time to time. I recently just built a new setup and would like to start porting my own mods. If someone could help point me in a good direction on how to get started or if a general tutorial already exists, it would be greatly appreciated. In return, I'd like to give back to this community (If I can produce anything decent). I had a decent work background in IT and used to mod games on my free time so getting familiar with software shouldn't be too much an obstacle. I'd like to mainly work with the Fallout franchises and I have a pretty good idea on how the game engine works. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I hope to make it worth the community's while. Thanks!

@chawthaw Hey man, welcome to GUN. Hope you kick around as the mods aren't what people end up stsaying for. Just give the rules and guidelines a once over before posting on anything and you should be fine. Welcome buddy glad to see some new faces around here, take your time and look around the community and watch some porting turorials on youtube and you can be good as any modders around here

@clawthaw - welcome to GUN. You must have noticed it's a friendly place with a great community. I'm hoping that why you finally decided to join us in the forum. There are lots of good places to learn about porting mods. This vid is by a very well know mod author. Her voice is a little different, but the information in it is very good. Might be a good place to start.
