Hello everyone, just dropping in to say hi.

My real name is Scott (no need to use my username) and I've been a fallout fan since fallout 2 and have dabbled in modding for the past 3-4 years. It was Drag's work that put me on to this website. I had no idea that New Vegas had such a following all these years later, never mind a community that is still as active as GUN.

I'm fairly active on the Nexus, usually a daily basis but it often feels like talking into a void as 90% of creators have not logged on in years, so it will be good to talk to like-minded people. I've been experimenting on-and-off with the G.E.C.K since fallout 3, and while it is not to the high standards of GUN, it would be good to trade ideas and help with fellow members.

@Voyevoda1 - welcome to GUN, Scott. Nexus is a big place with lots of echo's. GUN is a smaller and friendlier community and is very kick back. Good mods, great modders and good conversation. You should fit right in. There are all skill levels here, so no worries and help is free. Respect of others is practiced here so enjoy.

Welcome @Voyevoda1. I've kinda been in the same camp you are in right now in the past, where it feels like you're talking into the void on most modding communities, but fortunately GUN is a bit more of a tighter community so that's part of the reason why it's great.

Thanks for getting back to me guys. To be honest, I wasn't sure how responsive the forums would be but im glad that everyone accepts less experienced members. I have a few ideas for a TTW playthrough im currently in the process of playing through so in time I want to be coming and going with people with ideas and proper feedback.

Once i'm a little more experienced with the site, I'm looking forward to using it to its full potential. Crazy to think of how long people have kept these forums going, and the level oforganisation that goes into the mods created. I didn't understand the level system to GUN until I joined up but now I understand a little more why creators protect their material and why communities are better than just a mod dump site or just a series or mediafire links in a post from five years ago.

Drag's stuff is next level. The textures and scripting as well is to a high standard that I've not really seen before. Amazing stuff.

Just another random question- what sort of other games do you play?

Saying "a bit of everything" is probably a cop out answer, but the only games I tend not to touch tend to be MOBA's and MMO's.My go to, lazy "I really can't be bothered doing anything after work, I just want something easy" Is either UFC, Overwatch or any of the Metal Gear games.

Top favourites would probably be FNV, Dragon age:Origins, MGS, Mass Effect (even 3 ) or Morrowind.

What about yourself? Everyone tends to request or make mods from games I haven't even heard of, so there's a lot of diversity when it comes to gaming backrounds on GUN I have noticed.

Morrowind was always a really big one for me! Playing it when it originally came out when I was a lot younger and still had a lot of things to figure out was a lot of fun. I think it sorta shaped my personality and thoughts to be the way they are now if that doesn't sound too cheesey

@"callabar" I can only say that I'm envious, Oblivion was the first elder scrolls game I played and that was post FO3.
