So I recently pre-ordered Battlefront II and I was wonder who is ready for the Beta two weeks from now?

Oh man I too pre-ordered SWBF2. I am so excited for the beta, but mostly for the full game. It looks so amazing.

I'm looking foward to the beta, as it will help me gauage wheter or not my PC can handle it, depending on how well it runs I'll get it for PC if not I'll just get it for Xbox.

It's not pay to win at all. Here's how it works, ALL upgrades are obtainable in game and you can max them while playing, it will just take you more time and RNGesus wil have to have mercy on you. BUT if you want to max them out right away you can buy them. Besides, would you liked it more if it had a season pass where content is locked or microtransactions where content is available to everyone?

I didn't pre-order the game, but man does it look good ! I'm glad that EA add almost everything the fans begged for...
Truth be told, it'll probably never be as good as the original Battlefront 2, but it's nice to see that they are at least trying to make a good game !

Flight controls are a huge improvement! Still got to fiddle with the buttons and sensitivity, but it's complex enough while still being very approachable for all players. I hope we'll see some sort of infantry raiding, intertwined, into the space combat in the future.

The only drawback I found was the Resistance jump trooper. I did nearly 50 kills, on the castle map, in a single round. Great defense, quick escape, and a longer range rifle than the First Order equivalent. It's incredibly fun to play as, but it needs some actual drawbacks lol.

I didn't feel there was any pay2win aspect to it. The default weapons are easily comparable to any new weapons you'll find in a crate. The star cards aren't anything worth wild to be spending any amount of money on. Granted this may change upon the full release.

EDIT: After playing the game more, and using the upgraded star cards, this game is indeed pay2win. Some of the combinations are ludicrous.

Well before the official release of Star Wars VIII Dice decided to fix that so they could help raise support for the new movie but I personally feel that it is too late can anyone confirm my feeling?

I know this thread is old, but looking at both the shitty movie(s) and game, we've got a really deep tunnel to climb out of.

I think the update is really good I played the game since the launch despite the controversy and I have like over 200 hours played so far since i find the gameplay to be really fun. The update fixed the most obvious issue that being the progression. It doesn't affect me much personally since I already have nearly everything I want unlocked but for newer players it is way better now since you can actually choose what you want to unlock and when instead of having to rely on lootboxes for your first cards.

That sounds good. I might actually pick it up then. I remember from the beta that the gameplay was really fun, but the old progression system felt really pay to win, to me. And what I heard a lot is that it was a good game underneath, but the progression system was holding it back.

This update gives me hope for Battlefront 2 again, I'm hoping down the line we get alot more content, and hopefully when EA/DICE is done supporting Battlefront 2 with content there should be enough heroes and maps there.

If possible I would really like for more modes to be added for arcade.

I tried it for myself and I got to say that this new update is promising. I like the fact that every level up you make with a certain character you have the choice to make your cards stronger or not. The one thing that does bug me is that you can't get all your cards at level 4 untill your level 25. Besides that I'd like to say that the game improved by alot.

Looks promising to me as well. Once they add back in the character customization and star fighter assault into arcade mode, I’ll forget all the mistakes and mishaps of the last few months.

Battlefront I is more joyful instead of Battlefront II for me, in BFII there are not much maps

I cant stand heros vs villans its so unbalanced but Anakin Skywalker makes it worth it to play again. Also im so happy that they finally added the phase 2 91st trooper helmets they look so good.
