| So after replaying New Vegas for the 100th time,I decided I needed something new. I looked through my steam library and remembered that I had Fallout 4. I only played through it once before I lost all interest in it and uninstalled it. I'm thinking about giving another shot,but I wanted to know what some essential mods are to make it more...rpg-ish. |

| Yeah... I get ya. Eventually we just hunger for more Fallout. And if I was thinking of giving FO4 another go, I'd definitely want something, anything to make it a true Fallout RPG.
The thing is, there are good mods for FO4, a lot of them. Thanks to the community, you can improve the dialog system away from that horrible four arrow mess, you can bring back skills, make bullet sponges and magical baseball bats go away, but, and I truly don't wanna flame, troll, or anything... It just ends up being like a coat of paint, barely coating the proverbial surface. Outside of quest mods, that can really be well done and let you roleplay, the game itself is pretty much unfixable from a roleplayer's standpoint. It's always the same railroaded (no pun intended) quests, the same shallow interactions, the same predictable stereotypes. It's just so... Disappointing.
But alas, I'll give recommendations anyway:
-Silent Protagonist (self-explanatory); -Full Dialogue Interface; -Start me Up (Alternate Start Mod); -FROST (BIG overhaul, changes a lot of things for the better);
There are many, many more, but these should be a decent start. Add armor/weapons/ammo/crafting/ quest mods to taste. |

| Yeah,I figured as much. My first and last playthrough was modded since I got the game about a year after it came out,and I still felt disappointed. I was hoping that since than some big overhaul mod had come out to bring back some flair. Until than,I suppose it'll be Fallout Settlement Simulator for me. _________________ |

| If your rig can handle it, I’d suggest looking into mods that add grass/trees/greenery. I did it during my current playthrough and it felt like I was playing a totally different game. Really helped me get immersed into the world. |

| many of may mods are made to improve and tweak the general quality of the base game and the dlcs or to build frameworks for many other mods. But i'm pretty sure that in every playthrough i'm gonna do i'll always have with me:
Sim Settlements and all the offical expansions (industrial age, mega pack, rise fo the commonwealth - it really help to give life to the wastelands settlements in a easy and fast way, very user friendly) Companion Heather (from the same author of Willow for NV) Everyone best friend (so you can keep dogmeat with another companion) Raiders redux (drammatically improve the variety of all the raiders you encounter and the uniqueness of some raiders beside having a name) Super mutant redux (same as before, also introduce the nightkins to the commonwealth) The Mercenary armor pack ( an utterly well made armor pack and also lore friendly-sort of) The player homes made by RedRocketTV |

| My must have mods are Survival Options, See-Through Scopes, and Fallout 2287 (adds a metro-esque gas mask system) _________________ |

IS there a weapon mod for Fo4 that brings the plasma rifle from FO3/NV into Fallout 4? |
