Up up and away:

Sorry it took me so long to get started, I've been moving jobs over the past week, so between interviews and the like, I've not had a lot of time to really get started on New Vegas. That should change over the next week though, hoping to get some done tonight.
Here's my character sheet.

Instead of playing as the Courier, I'm instead playing as one of the mercenaries that was hired to screen them and their path into Vegas. Basing a lot of the custom design choices and RP style off a mix of things such as classic westerns like the Dollars Trilogy, or shows like Cowboy Bebop, with little homages here and there, such as a Punisher-esque Boone. I'm going to play through Someguy series as well as the main game and DLC (aside from Lonesome road for obvious reasons). Still editing in game stuff, like replacing certain characters faces and outfits, so I'm not 100% finished yet but nearly there. Will probably edit as I go.

Hoping to do a mercantile playthrough siding with Mr. House, mainly inspired by this one video.

I apologize for showing up to this so late but my game hasn't really been in a playable state lately so I've had to spend time making tweaks and I've managed to finally get this playthough rolling along. Not to mention that I didn't expect my character sheet to take so long so that really held me back as well. Here is my sheet as well as where I am currently at in my adventure.

"I was more than relieved to be out of the doctor's office. I don't recall much of what happened last night, but the small perforations along the side of my head explained a lot. Someone was out for me that night and with the way things went down, I knew that the package I had with me was a lot more than some fancy poker chip."

"After everything was prepared, we charged to the center of town after a group of men was seen approaching from up the road. This was either going to end in a victory or with the town up in a blaze with another bullet in my head."

"After the fighting settled, I got my things together and continued on with my journey down to the local town of Primm, hoping that I would be able to catch up with the man in the suit, but it turned out that I was farther behind than I expected."

"After dealing with the men, my eyes peered over to a corpse lying in front of the office building of my own employer. This must have had a tie to what happened to me in the cemetery."

"I walked into the strange casino across the street that looked like a shooting gallery with everyone's metal out of their holster, rigid expressions on their faces. There was a man in there who seemed to have an idea of who I was once I told him everything. He told me that the town's deputy knew more about where my attackers had gone, but it turned out he was being held prisoner by those convicts in the hotel across the street."

"I managed to shoot my way into the back of the hotel where the deputy was being held. I undid his bindings and he gave me the information I needed once we were outside."

"I was off to Nipton hoping to find more traces of the man in the suit, but what I would end up finding was much different, and almost welcoming."

"I walked into this fiery shithole as if the red carpet had been rolled out for me. Soldiers plated in gold and draped in crimson sauntered out of the town hall."

"I approached the soldiers with the one in the middle donning the bear skin that I so easily recognized. We shared a few words about legion justice and what it brings to places like the town we were standing in. The legionaries eventually regrouped and continued into the desert while I was headed off to Novac, expecting more of the same from my assailants always being a step or two ahead of me."

Nick's party has grown as he's moved through the wasteland. He still is nervous in combat and his use of guns is not as skilled as it could be with more practice.

Nick has accidentally gained favorable reputation with the NCR even though he dislikes them. Also, despite his intentions to remain neutral, he was drawn into a conflict involving hostages in Nelson. The Legion killed some of the hostages and Boone was none too happy with Nick. As a result, Boone is taking some time away from the group and calming his nerves in the comfort of the Lucky 38 presidential suite.

Nick's conversation with House went smoothly despite Nick's skepticism. He plans to gather his strength and pay Benny a visit.

And yet- he decide to look at night sniper - after he learn about his wife abduction. He knew, that this cannot happen without inside support. And letting a spy behind - not good idea.
So he talk with Boone - not much info, and yet- military trained sniper with combat experience. He want that men. He agree with his plan to find that spy.

We enter Repconn and found ghouls. Strange history - but hey, there is a tons of prophets in human history. Even more strange than this one. And always with a lot of followers.

So he goes down to basement and convice invaders to leave. And yes, it will be easy just to kill them, but who knows, they may be at use at some point. As a meat shield at least.

Welcome to New Vegas:

Levy finally reached the Strip. He was taken back by how modern the area looked compared to Freeside--hell, the entire Mojave Wasteland. He was stopped by Victor and was told that Mr. House wanted his wanted to see him. Levy was always interested in Mr. House from the first time he heard of him. Knowing that Benny was probably living it up in his casino like the playboy he was told to be--Levy decided to see Mr. House.

Spoiler:

Aaron went into the Tops Casino to find Benny. After convincing Benny to talk to him one-on-one, they both went into the suite. Just as Benny was about to sit down and pour a drink, Levy took out his laser pistol and shot him dead. He took the platinum chip and ran back to the Lucky 38.

Just after walking out of the Tops, he was stopped by a familiar looking man. It was Vulpes Inculta--the same man who destroyed Nipton. Vulpes offered Aaron to meet Caesar. After that intervention, Levy went back to Mr. House to discuss further details of the mission. Levy was feeling the weight of the Mojave on his back. He now knows that he is on a mission to mold the future of this area in the west. He went to his personal suite to get some rest--so that he’ll be ready for what’s in store from now on.

While we were walking back to Goodsprings, we got ambushed by some folk.

Ambush:

Damn it, people are after us already? It must be the residents here who called these vigilastes to get me for NCR when I was unconscious at that doctors house.

Right after this guy, Cobb said as his name, jumped right behind the corner. He saw us killing those vigilantes and asked for some help to take this town for themselves. Yeah, why not, they tried to kill me (and I can get all that free booze for myself). He asked to kill this one guy first hiding somewhere, sure, whatever.

We eventually got the residents down one by one. Cobb told us about this Correctional Facility after the fight, I could check it out. Powder Gangers seems like cool guys (and profitable for me).

Revenge:

I got to the facility, the douchebag door guy took 100 caps from us. I have to make it back somehow. I met this boss guy called Eddie. Nice classes jerk, your minion robbed us so better make a good deal.

Right right, so I got the job. I have to kill this Chavez guy for him since he keeps everything for himself. I like his style, but I guess I have to do it (damn door guy). It was easy enough, got back for my reward and Eddie asks for something AGAIN. Though I like it, it involves NCR and I might get to kill some of them at least. But for some information for it I have to get to Primm.

Yeah, nice little town. Angry convicts and bodies, just great. And NCR is here, but phew, they don't know my face (yet at least). I got to the saloon, now give me a BOOZE, I'm thirsty. After some drinks I got some information about NCR, great... and something else. This guy Johnson saw the guy who presumably stole my chip and some Eagle, Deagle, Beagle, whatever this guy's name is knows more.

Here's todays gameplay guys,
trying a new ENB, its a bit dark for me so Im open for new ENB suggestions. Can you also tell me which one of my pictures looks better? The previous ones or this one?


Keêgan entered the Lucky 38 to talk with Mr. House. After some talk he decided to do what Yes Man told him to do, kill Mr. House. Keêgan rejected giving him the chip and the Securitrons started to attack him. After dealing with the Securitrons Keêgan find a terminal and an elevator to some kind of basement where he find Mr. House, a man that looks so old and connected into some kind of a machinery to stay alive. Keêgan decided not to kill him but cut his connections from the computers and the securitrons and left him out of the machine.. I guess Mr. House doesnt always win. Keêgan left the Lucky 38 and on the exit, he encountered a woman who claims she's with the Followers of the Apocalypse. She told Keêgan that she's interested to know how Mr. House manage to stay alive this long and gave him some kind of a holotape and asked Keêgan if he can bug one of the terminals with it, he accepted and returned to the Yes Man.

First Time Loser:

After talking with the Yes Man and telling him that Mr. House is out of the picture, he returned to Lucky 38 with Yes Man. Yes Man connected his consciousness into Mr. House's computer and told Keêgan whats the deal with the platinum chip. The chip was designed to upgrade Securitrons to MKII level. Yes Man showcased the new upgraded securitrons to Keêgan and give some brief information about them. Before leaving Lucky 38 Keêgan found one of the terminals and bugged it for Followers of the Apocalypse, which was a failure but thats all he could do for them. After this Keêgan returned to the place where he worked before, where his enemy and his loved one can be found.. Gomorrah.

Yes! Upgrades:

Keêgan entered Gomorrah and talk with the Receptionist and she told him that Cachino is up to something and he should find Cachino. When he find Cachino he tried to convince him he's doing something that the family will not like, he objected it and returned to his seat but before that Keêgan manage to pull up a small journal on his back pocket. In the journal Cachino wrote the things he did behind the family's back. This was the opportunity Keêgan was looking for and a payback for what Cachino has done to his lover, he decided to took the journal to the boss Big Sal but before that he went to talk with the girl he loved Joana After some talk Keêgan went to see Big Sal and gave him the  journal. Big Sal asked him to come to office with him to witness the fate of Cachino. Cachino is killed by Omertas and the boss, Big Sal asked Keêgan to help him with some family business. Keêgan knowing he should get some friends on the Strip agreed.

Old Friends, Dead Enemies:

After dealing with the Powder Gangers at the NCRCF, Adrian made his way to the Mojave Outpost. On his way there, he remembered that back in Goodsprings he picked up a note that said something about Randall and Associates were looking for recruits.

Adrian took up a job as a bounty hunter. He got a contract to take out someone by the name of Tom Quigley who is held up somewhere near Vegas. After talking to Randall, Adrian finally made it to the Mojave Outpost. He spoke to the NCR there and took up some busy work.

After the Mojave Outpost, Adrian headed towards Novac. On his way there though, he had to pass through Nipton. He met with some strange folk there.

After his venture into Nipton, Adrian could finally go to Novac. Not staying there long, he saw some signs for the Repconn Test Site and went to investigate.

For anyone wondering why my lighting completely changed at the Boulder City shot, I installed reshade on top of my Overgrowth ENB for even better looking screenshots.

"Up the road from Nipton, I found myself in a rocky underpass with wrecked vehicles scattered about and a construction cone in the middle of the road that looked like it had been placed there by hand. I had a bad gut feeling about this and kept a sharp eye on my surroundings."

"After surviving a gang attack in the underpass, I came across what looked to be an NCR outpost, given away by the sign with the two-headed bear. I didn't see any soldiers outside and the place itself looked almost abandoned. Either the soldiers were off duty or somebody else was involved in this."

"I finally arrived in Novac after being greeted by the dinosaur on the skyline. I wasn't sure where to start asking questions about Benny, but I had a good feeling that the motel owner would know something."

"After asking about Benny, the owner mentioned a "Manny" in the town who seemed to have some connection with Benny. I would have to pay him a visit in the dinosaur's mouth while he was still on duty for the day."

"I found Manny at the top of the dinosaur and asked about Benny. His brief response to my question made it obvious that they knew each other well. After I stated my case, I realized that the only way I was going to get my slice of pie was if he got his first. I wasn't planning on giving Benny any more chances to slip away farther than he already did so I left the dinosaur and had another idea in mind."

"I managed to find the door to Manny's motel room, and I knew that if him and Benny were so well connected, I was bound to run across some kind of evidence."

"I entered the room with a powered-on terminal sitting in the back as if it were fate. I managed to find an entry on there that seemed to have relevant information in my case."

"With the information I needed, I was off to my next destination. The Khans had plans to visit Boulder City, and I was hopefully on my way to meet them."

"I made it to Boulder after leaving the treacherous road behind me. Instead of a sprawling settlement like I was expecting, the place itself looked like it had just barely survived a ground zero blast. I wasn't expecting to see anyone here until an NCR soldier came into view. While keeping my cap low, he gave me an opportunity to negotiate with the Khans after I told him my situation."

"I paced into the ruins trying to keep to myself around the other soldiers. I was hoping the crimson shirt and equipment I had on didn't throw them off. Not being draped in feathers or a skirt was my only advantage."

"I opened the door with my rifle drawn only to see two men standing behind a counter. I immediately knew which one was Jessup after the Khan with the bandana opened his mouth first. It was clear that the tables had turned and that the only thing left for him to do was give up Benny's whereabouts."

"Benny was at the strip and his plans with the chip had likely already gone into effect. I had one final stop to make and this time, I didn't expect it to end peacefully."

"I came to a trading post where I managed to find a gun runner. Somehow, I didn't come off as the type to be buying weapons. But after I told him otherwise, I restocked on my ammo and headed off."

"I finally made it to New Vegas' largest slum, Freeside. The place was depressing on its own but the neon lights and people in the streets gave it a bit more of an atmosphere. This was the only way that I was going to reach the strip, so I knew that I was coming close."

"After passing into Freeside's larger area, I was greeted by even more lights and people. It was strange to see so much life in such a decrepit place."

"I approached the strip gate after being warned by one of the locals about entering. As if it was an everyday event, I witnessed a squatter trying to run in without submission. The poor guy was leveled by the robots guarding the gate, but I guess he got what was coming to him. The neon sign above the gate reminded me that I was in the right place and that soon, my delivery would be complete."

Just as Nick was ready to confront Benny, the urge to meet up with the Khans and score was too great. As he had done before, he pursued pleasure over his responsibilities. He was unconcerned about House as Nick believed the cards were in his own hand.

Nick exchanged recipes with Jack and, of course, got high. He was battling a steady addiction but that didn't stop him from using other chems.

Nick and Niner went out in pursuit of Anders. On their way, they happened across an NCR patrol near a heavily irradiated city. The NCR soldiers attacked Nick and Niner on sight. Did they suspect them as fiends? Perhaps. They never got to ask.

Russell backed Niner and Nick up in combat. It was clearly self-defense after all. The moral justification didn't help Nick to feel any better about the massacre. He didn't like the NCR's politics, but that didn't mean he desired to be a murderer.

Nick walked through the ghoul population of Camp Searchlight and found Anders. On the way to Vault 3 for his most dangerous drug run yet, Nick and Niner killed two young deathclaws. It was emboldening to Nick. He had never killed such a large creature before. Maybe he was getting the hang of his weapons.

Spoiler:

Approaching Vault 3, Nick grew greatly concerned over the fiend attacks his party suffered. If the NCR mistakes him for a fiend, and the fiends mistake him for the NCR... is he a man without a family? Nevertheless, they were able to appropriately dress as fiends and enter Vault 3 to complete the drop.

after doing some exploring Hector heard a radio signal of a beautiful women's voice and decided to check it out but he was in for a nasty surprise he woke up in some hellhole he only thought possible in his nightmares then some projector started talking to him about some heist he wants me to pull off after we were done talking he ventured off and he was horrified of the creatures he saw that looked like they came straight from the depths of hell he fought on regardless after that he met some people that were also captured like him

after escaping the sierra madre he went to the strip to get some rest then i heard a plan that the omertas are doing he decided to investigate

he talked to the lieutenant cachino and he told him part of their plan and helped me stop it

he then went to talk to ambassador crocker and resolved issues between the kings then he was approached by a frumetarius and got an invatation to see caesar

I'm going to play through the game with the hardest vanilla difficulty setting. I have no idea how hard or easy it is, but I always play on easy, so this should hopefully make it somewhat more challenging.

And no reloading saves on death, if my Courier dies, then I'm out. No restarting after death.

Basic backstory:

Keen to make a start, Jack wastes no time gearing up in the local store with some basic Mercenary gear and heading out to the next town, hoping to find some work and a lead on the man who shot him.

Travelling from Goodsprings to Primm:

After speaking to the local Mojave Express Staff, it turns out the town is having some trouble with some rogue Convicts

A Town in need:

After helping the town of Primm, Jack decides it's time to carry on with his journey. Seeing smoke over the desert, Jack decides to head out in that direction

After talking with Trokie and Clanden, Keêgan went to the Ultra Lux to steal chlorine and then he wandered into wasteland first to bribe Lieutenant for Great Khans because he wanted to get on their good side and then to get the stolen weapon parts back. He killed the fiends who stole the weapon parts and took it from them then returned back to the Gomorrah.

Omerta Business:

After the business with Omerta, Keêgan decided to see Great Khans. He went to the Red Rock Canyon and met with Papa Khan the Khan of Khans, Regis, the right-hand of Papa Khan and Karl, the emissary from Caesar's Legion. Keêgan tried to talk with Papa Khan to convince him to break-up his alliance with the Legion, yet Papa Khan's hatred of NCR was blinded him the so called ''emissary'' was making things difficult for Keêgan. Then Regis talk to the Keêgan, telling him if you want to convince Papa you need to convince the council and do something about Karl. Not being much of a talking guy, Keêgan went to Karl's room and found his journal. In journal Karl noted how he see khans as barbarians and they will be executed after the battle. He showed the journal to Papa which resulted of Karl's death. He left the choice to Papa and left.
