| I was thinking of what direction they could go with the next story driven fall out game. I think they should break out of America and into Europe. But considering Britains relationship with America during WW2 I think London would be a nice fit in this alternative universe. No where else in Europe had war ready shelters like London. The tunnels that Churchill had fitted to shelter during air raids would make for great networks to fit both fallout shelters and make shift goul dens. I also picture London getting much of the nuclear weapons thrown at it in the region and trade winds from Scotland would push much of the fallout towards France, giving survivors in Scotland an upper hand when society tries to regain law and order, flipping the power balance from England to Scotland. Where the Scottish freemason society becomes the new world power in the region. Since regardless of fallout levels in Scotland the worlds vegetation would die out due to the blight. So Rumors of a GECK in the hidden bowels of parliament’s Londons secret tunnels peak the interest of the Scottish mason new order sending their military to control the region so they can gain control of the rebuilding of the UKs natural resources. They could have known Irish terrorist organization IRA to be another faction pushing in for power against the scottish masons. |

| I always wondered and wanted a Fallout game set outside of the United states. London would be amazing. Think of the factions and the potential that could happen. What is the relationship like, is there an Enclave equivalent? How do the US factions interact with the other ones? There's so much potential out there it's insane. Only time ive seen London in an apocalyptic video game setting was Hellgate London...RIP _________________ |

| @mwguitarist yeah the many factions could be crazy. Literally centuries upon centuries of baggage between the many countries that make up the UK. That is why I would like to see Scottland at the core of it. They could call their GECK retreval called operation Braveheart (even though I am not sure if scottish people use the term braveheart for Wallace). They could name their version of their Paladins after scotish folk heroes. The IRA in Ireland has been a strong militia even in our real timeline let alone what it could be in the alternate timeline. And with all the secret society and lodges that are so popular in Great Britain the possibilities are endless |

| @txdust80 Ah man all this makes me wish I had the time to map out and develop at least a mod sized quest that incorporated these ideas haha. It would be so good wouldn't it? Like you said, centuries of conflict within the UK makes for some REALLy interesting choices with who decide to place your bets on. _________________ |

| It would be a pretty interesting location for sure. Some cool little insight into Fallouts UK is that Allistair Tenpenny from Fallout 3 originated from there but left for the US in an attempt to seek fame and fortune. Could hint towards the current conditions of the UK in the Fallout world. |

| it would definitely be an interesting take to see what the European Commonwealth be like after the bombs. though... there is bit of lore surrounding it in fallout 1, the bible as well as an article clipping of a screen shot (think the loading screen) of fallout 3, (plus whatever we know from Tenpenny too.
basically the Union was integrated into one "state" like, hence why called European Commonwealth earlier. it was so depended on fuel which by the 2050s much like rest of the world it was running out. and while the US, Russia and China where having their fights, the Europe was having a war with the Middle-East caused by the resource wars. Euro Commonwealth's economy was really bad but it's suggested to have possessed an unified military and later civil war broke out across the commonwealth by the end and just broke apart completely.
Towards the end it's unknown if Europe was able to secure it's final survival at all. |

| It would be interesting to see a Fallout game that is set in London that revolves around its monarchy, raider gangs and maybe remnants of its government. They should also almost be limited to melee combat as guns are the great equalizer. If guns is limited, people would revert back to melee combat(or bows) which means power will be concentrated to the mighty.
I would want to see how that would affect society in London if everything revolves around brute strength. _________________ Will there be enough Dakka? |

| That is something I wish to see in a future game. I wonder how the remainder of its government survive the nuclear fallout - since the Enclave is technically the American Federal Government though it is not represented as in how they do it in the games. And of course there are those tech-hoarding mancho themselves, the Brotherhood of Steel - a group of soldiers from the military that deserted their posts.
So if the game is set around London - perhaps Central London since most of the highlights are there (Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Westminister....) _________________ I seem to have lost a Penny. |

| Fallout <[Anywhere but Britain and Canada, unless they start inventing new places, locations, bunkers, and pistols (Britain)]>. Those would quite likely be very dull places for a game. Unless of course it ends up looking something like Far Harbor (or has mountains, which makes bunkers inevitable).
Europe anywhere to the East of the UK. Germany is ok. Former soviet republics would be better, simply because of all the military infrastructure such as bunkers, bases, early warning stations, and ICBM silos. Although, I suppose they could simply invent or create interesting places (loosely based on post 1950's era, so they can essentially do what they please). |

| Only if we get power armor that looks like a medieval knight. But it would be interesting to see Fallout in another country other than the U.S. London might be fun but only if we can explore the bunkers underneath Buckingham and Big Ben. |

| If London survives, churchills tunnels are not as secure and durable as Vault-Tec's vaults - food, supply, electricity, and protection from radiation (some vault's are PURPOSEFULLY let in radiation). You would have to give Vault-Tec ties to Europe for them to survive and have a GECK. it's unknown if they survived in the fallout bible - you would have to use mostly new companies, and technology (Besides some Power Armor), which would be a lot more interesting. But tbh, i doub't a unified country would survive without national safety procedures _________________ |

| As cool as all this sounds if Bethesda was the one making it they'll just somehow squeeze in the BoS & Enclave and the American Super Mutants and fill the place up with generic raiders and maybe make a new faction or 2. |

| I to would personaly would love to see a fallout game centered around london, but I have to agree with @"Ashi Itachi". the issue is fallout has always had its theme based around 1950s americana and a game with the seting of britain would loose that key part of the franchise. so insted I would say that a fallout like game set in britain would take the astetic of 1950 britain and the comon stereotype of high society then invert them giving it a darker tone, kind of like a post-apocalyptic style alise in wonderland

| Considering its history, I think the Irish Community would be a big part of any game set in England, not because they deserve it but because of the amount of history between the two countries and the amount of immigration between the two.
Like there is a lot of history there, but I honestly cant say that any inclusion of the Irish Republican Army would just be offensive. Believe it or not, they are not that interested in anything outside of unifying Ireland. Now that being said, a splinter group resembling the classic IRA (honestly, if you lived in Ireland you would know what I am talking about when I call them that) would be interesting, but also problematic. They would be more akin to Raiders, as their tactics were run and gun and gorilla warfare, besides explosives. However, I believe we would see the Tri-colour a lot in england as there are a lot of Plastic Paddys in the city (look it up). And I would like to see a joke where despite the world ending Northern Ireland is still under British rule.
In regards to setting, I can imagine the monarch still being in power to some extent, and the vaults not being huge experiments. But more propaganda related things. Like one vault being controlled by the tory party and another by the labour party. Instead of experiments, have the vaults basically be machines used to advertise these political partys in case the world isnt over yet. Maybe have the Shelter your from be from a control shelter where you are given a choice between partys (which will reflect on the longer story).
The country was one of the greatest empires in history, therefore you would have no doubt a faction that believes "Hey, the world ripe for the taking again. Lets go and conquer". Make it all the scarier when you realize that this group have money, power, and technology. Maybe even have the royal family as ghouls? Or have the palace full of ghouls. Would be fun. Scotland would interesting to visit, but so would Whales. Imagine a republic of dave like place for whales. |

| The European nations and England especially would be fascinating to explore Seeing how its completely unknown territory. If I recall, there are only two people possibly from the British Isles: Tenpenny And the guy who runs the saloon in megaton (genuinely can't think of his name). Personally I imagine England to have regressed back to medieval politics

| I disagree. London and the English countryside just seems like a dull place to have a Fallout game. It would just be the city (already dull) with the remains of fields and maybe a little town here and there. A mod set there might be okay (despite international travel being nearly impossible). But a whole game would be pretty boring in my opinion. Do we even know if England got nuked? Was England allied with the US in the fallout story? I would say a big negative on this one. _________________ swiggitty swooty I'm coming for that booty -George Washington |
