Today marks the birthday of Fallout 3, which is a decade old now.
I have so many memories with this game. Everytime I play it it takes me back.
If time travel gets invented in a couple years, I know where I'm going. Back to late 2008/early 2009 so I can re-experience this fantastic game in it's glory days all over again.
So take a seat, forget about the 3 VS NV VS 4 wars, and take your mind back to the time you first played the game (assuming you did). We're taking a trip back to the Unregistered Hypercam 2 days, dreamscape playing in the background, notepad tutorials, Fallout 3 early modding and the release of the GECK. The time this was a game EVERYONE of your friends played.
So, happy birthday Fallout 3, you classic. You're Growing Up Fast.

I miss Liam Neeson-I mean my father during Fallout 3
Still think he is a jerk though.

A modern classic, loved to play this game back in the day, when i first started to unravel this franchise's lore, there's nothing like playing a good ass game for the first time, it's just a priceless experience.
Happy Birthday Fallout 3, cheers!

I'll admit. FO3 wasn't my first Fallout game, but it still brings back alot of memories. As much as I praise NV, I have to admit there are things that FO3 does much better. Not only that, but I think the apocalyptic city look in FO3 is a bit better than FO4. In my opinion. All the Bethesda Fallout games are great, but for different aspects.
However. I'm getting off topic. I do want to say, Happy Birthday, Fallout 3! You've brought so many memories. So many fun times with both mods and unmodded. And I hope people are able to enjoy you for years to come!
....Not me though. The game isn't working right for me at the moment. It freezes everytime I attack whether it be melee or gunplay. So. For now I'll just have to shelve it and come back to it another time.

Fallout 3 continues to be a game that surprises me. I find something new every single time I play it. That says a lot about a game I've beat several times. That's something I'll always praise Bethesda for, is the replayability of their games.

Fallout 3 was my first entry into the series. While I think New Vegas is the superior game, the location of DC is a way more interesting setting. This game blew my mind and horrified me of the world back when I was younger.

Happy birthday Fallout 3! It was and still is one of my favorite's. It was actually my third journey into the Fallout world and like others, I thought the setting in the DC area was ideal for the apocalyptic aftermath of man's inherent lust for power and overreach. At the time I was running a rig that barely handled FONV and wouldn't touch anything but vanilla FO4 (and it even sucked at that).
So I have great memories of learning to mod in FO3 and making many mistakes...they're the best teacher sometimes. I need to return to FO3 with the rig I run now and the knowledge gained since my last play....never enough time gaming and modding and RL (age old complaint for most of us I'm sure)
