| So as I am playing Fallout: New Vegas I was trying to decide which DLC was my favorite. Instead I am imploring all of you, which is your favorite DLC in Fallout New Vegas and why?
I loved all of them equally but I must say that Honest Hearts wins me over. The mood, setting and story was just awe-inspiring, but Lonesome Road runs a close second place for me. _________________ - My Achievements:

| Honest Hearts was my least favourite; the Grand Canyon was too sparse for my tastes and IMO there wasn't enough "screen time" for Joshua Graham, arguably the most interesting NPC of the DLC. I'm considering trying a nexusmod "Honest Hearts Reborn" which revamps most of the NPCs and tribes. Interested in the opinions of GUNners who've tried it.
OWB was enjoyable but a little too whacky for me. I'd consider myself a roleplayer and I prefer a more "serious" story. If not for the entertaining dialogue I would've skipped that DLC.
Lonesome Road is probably my second favourite, it has been so many years since I last played it I don't really remember what I enjoyed about that DLC but I do remember really loving exploring the Divide. I recall it being very dense and a varied setting. I found the predetermined story for the Courier a little confusing.
And of course that'd leave Dead Money as my favourite DLC. Admittedly when I first played it I found it frustrating and I didn't enjoy it. However every subsequent playthrough of Dead Money has been the high point of the game for me. I really like the challenge of having your gear taken away from you and I think Dead Money has the most (quality and quantity) interesting NPCs of all the DLC. _________________ "It's me again, Mr. New Vegas, reminding you that you're nobody 'til somebody loves you. | Dead Money and Honest Hearts just feel so bare to me, and so I don't really like them. There's absolutely nothing to do in either of them, it's just "go here and press E to complete the quest." There's also hardly anything to shoot in either, and so it just feels like a chore to do. Honest Hearts is saved in this regards by having an extremely strong story, but Dead Money doesn't fare nearly as well. People rag on Lonesome Road for basically being a corridor shooter, but it's at least better than being a corridor simulator. Old World Blues is definitely my favourite, as it struck the perfect balance between the two gameplay formats, while also having an extremely strong story. People complain that it's too silly, but I didn't have a problem with it personally, especially since it later turns out to be a plot twist. |

| I'd have to go with Honest Hearts for mostly the same reasons. However, there is one particular reason I love that dlc,and his name is Joshua Motherfucking Graham! Little known fact, that actually is his full name, exclamation mark and all. _________________ |

| Hey y’all! First post. I’d have to say lonesome road. Throughout the other dlcs there was this hype building up Ulysses as Courier Six’s equal, or superior. He was the ultimate enemy. His hatred of us was arguably just. Now what really made me love that dlc was the consequences. Nuking an area, and decimating it inside of the nv map made it real. Thanks for reading y’all.

| I enjoy and appreciate each of the dlcs for what they are. Honest Hearts has its moments that make it good for sure. The Survivalist and his tragic story, learning the fate of Joshua Graham, and a new land to explore with new weapons and armor to use.
Old World Blues is definitely one of my favorite dlcs of any game. The whole sci-fi feel along with all of the creatures, experiments, and colorful characters make OWB stand out.
Lonesome Road is a good dlc in it's own right. You really feel the desolation of the Divide, and come to understand Ulysses as a character and his sheer hatred for the Courier's actions. This dlc also adds in some fun new weapons and armor as well.
While I had a lot of fun with all of the dlcs in New Vegas, Dead Money stands out to me. It really fits with the general feel of New Vegas. Greed, corruption, and obsession are some of the central themes of New Vegas, and Dead Money really shows you how people would react in a scenario in which you could have all of the money you would ever need and a chance to "begin again" if you are able to get inside the Sierra Madre to get it. With this in mind, people get greedy and want the fortune to themselves. This leads to paranoia and rash action. People who were once working together to stay alive and escape, are now backstabbing each other to get the treasure for themselves.
Not to mention the characters that you meet all have their own motives for being there, while sharing a unique perspective of the situation. I also really enjoy the survival aspect of the dlc as well. Overall, while I love each of the dlcs for what they bring to the game, Dead Money is definitely my favorite.

| Fallout NV had some great DLC's. It's pretty phenomenal that we're still talking about the game's content seeing as it came out nearly 8 or so years ago now.
My least favorite was Dead Money. My first playthrough I honestly hated the DLC. Having my equipment stripped from me and now I have a literal handicap that prevents me from being able to openly explore the area and enjoy the atmosphere? No thanks bud. As soon as I started playing on PC I downloaded mods to remove those mechanics from the game. Fuck the bomb collar. After I'd played through it a second time though I grew to appreciate the writing and storytelling that went into the powerplay of Domino and Vera, as well as the intense withering feeling you feel while walking through the casino. Never did I feel like the Old World was more dead than when I was in the Sierra Madre.
Next is Lonesome Road. I Loved the new weapons we got, the Long 15 or Dry Wells environs you got to explore as a direct result of your choice at the end, as well as the Courier's Mile are some of the most difficult areas in the game. You truly felt a real challenge in a game that by that point was an absolute cakewalk. Plus, you almost felt guilty for the legionaries and NCR that get nuked when you reprogram the missile at the end. I Just could not stand fuckin' Ulysses. His monologues were some of the most BORING shit i've ever sat through in my entire life. I'd honestly rather listen to my programming professor try to explain complex theorems than try to unravel Ulysses' rat nest of cockamamie ideas.
My second-favorite DLC is Old World Blues. This DLC is just a playground of every dumbass science-fiction idea that could have ever came across Obsidian's desk. Robot police dogs, gnomes in places they shouldn't be, floating brain jars, AND giant robo-scorpions? Why the fuck not? This DLC is an absolute clusterfuck and I love it for that. The scientists are all parodies on medical America to the 11th degree, all while having you run around a theme park of mystery science theater circa 1955. It is beautiful and you should love it just for that.
So, my absolute favorite DLC has to be Honest Hearts. I could write pages on why Joshua Graham is the best character in the Fallout series, but lets cut that out for now. The voice acting in the Zion valley is what really makes the area feel alive. Every NPC, whether it be an unnamed Tribal all the way to Joshua himself was an artistfully magnificent choice by the developers. Every character feels like a true living breathing human with problems and experiences that are only being exacerbated by the assault by the White-Legs. Their fears feel real because they make it real for you. The Zion Valley feels like an untouched cornerstone of the world that must be protected from these barbarians. It's the only place in the game that can have vanilla rain. Obsidian poured a lot of time and resources into making Zion feel just as alive as it is in real life, and I feel they've succeeded.
But, then again, that's just my opinion folks. Seems like I might be disagreeing with some of you here, but that's the beauty of these games. So many people can enjoy so many different ways to play. _________________ - Can you figure it out?:

| I'd have to say Dead Money or Old World Blues it's hard for me to choose between them i love the atmosphere and horror elements of DM but on the other side i love humor and B movie theme of OWB ...i'll just go with Dead Money for right _________________ "Mine" |

| Thank you guys for all the responses! I love hearing on what y'all liked about your selected DLC. I love all of them for those same reasons. Dead Money takes your gear away and you are looking for this legendary treasure (not to mention the backstory was amazing) Honest Hearts you met the previous Legate and help them with this tribal- yet spiritual battle against another tribe Old World Blues you get to explore another legendary location and see what experiments were used in the Sierra Madre and the Divide. Lonesome Road had AMAZING atmosphere and you really get to see how much destruction one courier delivery could cause. I loved that at certain parts of the DLC, you could see Ulysses in the background, just watching your progress and leave silently. All in all, the DLC's in New Vegas had amazing story and writing. I love playing them over again and again, which reminds me; I gotta start DLC #2 in my current playthrough.[/b] _________________ - My Achievements:

| I love Old World Blues because of the kooky nature of it and how it explains a lot of stuff from the game (base game + DLCs) but mostly because of my bias towards kooky/fringe science.
Dead Money is a great horror survival experience(to people who are not immune to the genre). It also has great story telling so you definitely need to play it at least once.
Honest Hearts has some good lore but it is mostly me just bouncing from one location to another with you seeing the same tree, river, rock, mutated bug/plant, bear and white leg so meh. The location itself can get pretty repetitive and boring at times.
Lonesome Road has some nice gear but it is mostly a linear dungeon crawl with the occasional side attractions and that multiple choice ending. Those additional endings and gear are pretty nice but you have to go through hell to get them. _________________ Will there be enough Dakka? |

| They're all fantastic I really couldn't pick. I loved Dead Money's atmosphere and lore. Honest Hearts had really good writing and environmental storytelling, I especially like Joshua Graham's character. I played through Old World Blues with a smile on my face the entire time. Lonesome Road is basically a post release conclusion to the couriers story. |

| My favourite has to be Dead Money, I really like the atmosphere of it.
It's also a little different gameplay wise, most will have an unstoppable Courier with 100+ stimpaks and then they're thrust into the Sierra Madre with only a holorifle.
That being said it had it's frustrating elements which I shouldn't have to elaborate on haha. _________________ - My Achievements:

| I would have to go with Lonesome Road. There's just something about walking the Lonesome Road (Title drop ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) to Ulysses that makes the whole dlc feel special to me. While I enjoy the other there's just something about them that sours the experience for me. I enjoy the feel of OWB as it feels like a silly callback to some moments in the black-isle studios era of fallout. However it feels a little too silly sometimes. Sidebar: Love the fact that Doctor 0's voice actor also voices Doc Venture. The more I've played Dead Money the more its grown on me however I hated it my first play through as it just felt tedious but the atmosphere and characters saved it for me. Lastly we have Honest Hearts which I'd have to say is my second favorite. Honestly for this dlc every positive it has it also has negatives. I love Joshua Graham but I feel like there needed to be more of him. I enjoyed the survivalists side quest a lot but sadly there aren't too many other good ones in the dlc and, Two Bears high-fiving is awesome but, nothing beats the legendary quote: "Take drugs, Kill a Bear". In the end I find them all enjoyable plus with overhauls and reworks they become even better so thank you to all the mod authors that put their time into this! _________________ |

| I love everyone besides Dead Money. I honestly wanted to just load a old save. I had no fun while playing it. Then i replayed it on the PC with mods, and it was awasome. So Modded Dead Moeny is the best. But Vanilla i would say Old World Blues _________________ NCR and Proud!!! |
