| The current idea for TWW appears to involve taking a train that goes from the Capital Wasteland to the Mojave (the video goes something like "Nine years later" and then starts the New Vegas end. I wonder if there are workable modded alternative ideas to this? Especially in light of the upcoming New California expansion mod; I'd love to see them all integrated in a fallout worlds, although I'm not sure that California to DC to Mojave is the most sensible option. |

| That's probably too tall an order. I think the California mod is pretty much an overhaul of NV rather than a new land/DLC thing right? That means that the NV stuff would be gone so you'd have nowhere to go on that trip. The game would be trying to load NV, but the NC mod would have overwritten a lot of it so it'd be real wonky. The reason TTW works is that 3's game is entirely separate and does not override anything. The base game is NV, not 3. 3 is just tacked on and needs a largely intact NV.
That's just my understanding. If NC is a standalone, then it could potentially work, but if it's the mod I'm thinking about, it's a total overhaul.
For more information, you may want to post on the TTW forums. |

| Yeah, it's a new land, a sort of prequel. Apparently when it ends, it goes straight into the new vegas story. |

| TTW is pretty much hardcoded to load right into the beginning of NV when you ride the train. You'd have to add a new prompt to the train and rework the whole NV intro.
As for the prequel part, that's all I'm hearing about it. Nothing seems to say if it is just a new land or if it overwrites the base game content and just is a prequel rather than having you play it then move onto NV. I'm thinking it's the later where it's just a separate story as it takes place about 22 years prior to NV and I don't think you'll be the same character so it's likely an overhaul rather than a new land. D=Can't really say for certain though as I can't find any useful information. Just a bunch of sites talking about how big of a mod it is. |

| They've said many times that their story ends with the start of New Vegas. It's definitely a new land, it doesn't overwrite anything, or it would be impossible to transition to New Vegas afterwards. I figure modders are going to do a lot in the long run with both New California and TTW, so who knows what ingenious alterations of both that might come about. It's fun to try to anticipate how modders might try to integrate it all together someday. |
