| I used to use a "new-u station" alternate death mod at one point, but I wasn't really dying enough in that playthrough to worry about it. On Horizon, yeah, I die enough now. But I see that the new-u station mod is gone. Apparently it's been merged into the Tina Cookie Apocalypse mod, which I think is a shame; from what little I can tell the Tina mod probably isn't my thing, at least not for this starving to death playthrough. Anyone have any advice, on the subject of alternate deaths in Fallout 4? |

| I use Cookie Apocalypse. It's really nothing to worry about. Once you get your first cookie, you are transported to Tina's bunker and can disable all the things like confetti, bodies exploding, loot engrams, etc. It gives you two short quests and after that, it doesn't affect your game much. Enemies sometimes drop cookies, but they are only misc items and don't really affect immersion(assuming that's your issue). Everything else is optional. The cookies can be traded for various things in her bunker like a few weapons, the New-U, a node that gives you a bunch of options in settlements, and you can even trade cookies for HP/AP upgrades.
What do you not like about the mod?
I don't really do "new you" mods, but one mod I use has it as a side feature. I'm not sure if this is a mod you would want, but it does have that feature.

Zombie Walkers. It has an optional feature that when you die, you switch over to a random settler from one of your settlements. You can go track down your body and pick up your loot. |

| Well, I shy away from confetti, bodies exploding, loot engrams. If they can be disabled, I guess that's good. Maybe I'll use those for another playthrough someday. Where/when does this cookie happen? I'm using Horizon, so I have no idea if the cookies are even going to drop in the first place. It's hard to tell with a big mod like this, how it will conflict, but it probably will one way or another. Maybe I can just cheat-spawn the first cookie. |
