| So in the Fallout Universe, the world is on the brink.
The USA and China are locked in all out war, large scale invasions and constant bombardment of Alaska and mainland China is the norm Supposedly the EU countries are waging all out war with themselves over lack of oil in middle east Russia is doing its own thing, but perhaps even entertaining the idea of being somewhat peaceful with the US (FO1)
Then the nukes hit... World goes mad.
200 odd years later, the Fallout games start.
But what's going on the rest of the world, what happened to everyone else? Is there nothing else besides the US? Maybe not, we learn of people like Tenpenny in FO3 who left England to find his fortune, so we know that England survived too. What about the huge armies of the US who managed to invade mainland China, did they survive the nuclear hellstorm? What about Russia? Africa? South America? Australia and the rest of Asia?
Does the world still live? What do you think happened to everyone else in the world? |

| Raul Tejada talked about Mexico in FNV, I don't recall very well what he said, but it was nuked too. Europe was single country and was at war with the Middle East and Africa for resources and was devastated too, if I'm not wrong. The whole world is in ruins in the Fallout Universe.

| The world still lives because life always finds a way, no matter how twisted it looks like. But we can only speculate the fate of its human residents because there is little to no information given by the previous Fallout games. _________________ Will there be enough Dakka? |

| Bombs are not difficult to make and their number probably exceeds even well, let's say ten million, well, I can be wrong but I think that the whole world has sunk into the abyss.

| Australia remains the same post apocalyptic country that it is today.
Jokes aside, Australia would have been bombed too since backstabbing politicians would speak on behalf of the country's citizens as being on the US' side for any war. |

| I'm pretty sure its implied that the whole world was as Ron Pearlmen puts it "consumed by nuclear fire." I think its implied that it was a world wide thing and everywhere got rekt. But we can all pretend its just fine. It makes perfect sense that people can cross the ocean in 200 year old ships and know how to navigate. And people can walk across the country back and forth like no issue. Super salty at mod authors who do that. _________________ swiggitty swooty I'm coming for that booty -George Washington |

| I bet that USSR did not fall apart, and Chinese have created an alliance with them. About Europe - i bet that they fall to USSR and have feel themselves pretty bad under communism.. _________________ - My Achievments:

| I've always wondered what countries like Japan and China, even Korea would be like. Always been a fan of traditional asian architecture in general, having that as a setting would probably instantly sell me on a new Fallout installment set in one of those countries. |

| Take all the voiced fallouts, and look at how many of them have accents. Quite a large number. I think one of the Khans even had an Australian accent somehow. Clearly international travel still exists; there was a functional oil tanker that could be made to sail again in Fallout 2. From what I can tell from the wikis, the USSR didn't collapse but instead created a "softer" version of Socialism, while China took the hard liner approach. Honestly there are some countries which just wouldn't make sense to nuke, except out of pure malice, like Costa Rica. There would be residual radiation, but that has been shown to be survivable in the fallout universe. |

| Could you imagine a Fallout in Japan? For some reason, i just imagine it being a lot cleaner. There'd be like a new order of samurai. I don't know if they would've been able to get access to power armor. It would be a neat twist on the fallout universe.
Still Fallout is so routed in classic Americana, I don't know if it would quite catch on.

| I feel as though life is pretty much the same as anywhere else that takes place in fallout lore, human nature is relatively consistent, greed, anger, pride, go hand in hand with all of the better traits we see in other characters, like say for example, Nick Valentine, or maybe Raul. And to counter the good we have characters like Caesar and Tenpenny. I don't see why anywhere else would be different, culture would pretty much be all but obliterated (for the most part, I'm not talking about history, but the actual culture of whatever locale you're in) leaving people with nothing but there basic instincts to survive and rebuild while in the process creating their own version of some new culture either from bits and pieces of the old world, or by creating entirely new tribal traditions.
I would definitely like to see a fallout where there is almost and Azra-esque city though, similar to Into The Badlands. Not to say it would have to be completely pristine (although the institute and and the brains at the Big MT have proved it's possible) just a city that still hasn't been exposed to much of the atrocities that the rest of the world has, essentially leaving them to be somewhat more sheltered with a relative sense of innocence.
Sorry for the wall of text in advance. _________________ |

| Vegas was supposed to be that great city of light that was untouched by the nuclear fire. That was the whole story there, of why it was special. With mods it becomes what the developers meant it to be and more. |

| Nobody knows really. Just speculations left and right. One could imagine that the Middle East is filled with busted up lands due to excavation for resources. Also, there could be more mutants out in the wasteland and not just the usual Super Mutants, Mirelurk, etc. Who knows?
Honestly though, I really want new mutants in the Fallout Universe. Also, more goofy scifi weapons like a sword that's only useable during the day, an elemental gun that fires air, rock, fire, and water, and lastly a prototype Trident because....Poseidon Energy? |

| It's only semi-canon, but the cancelled Fallout Extreme would have shown that China survived the great war, while the rest of the world fell. The Brotherhood of Steel would've eventually became almost nation-like, and would've expanded through Canada, while the player would then expland through Alaska, then to Russia, and finally China, where the final act of the game would've been a battle with the Red Guard and the Emperor. I like this idea, because it would basically be the Brotherhood of Steel reforming into America, which tied in nice with their roots as the only surviving members of the military.
The stuff with the Brotherhood is already non-canon due to New Vegas and 3/4, but China has never been touched on since then, and so the info on it might be considered somewhat canon. I highly doubt we'll ever see anything with it though, as Bethesda seems keen on keeping fallout in America. It also wouldn't make for a very interesting story unless retconned, as the FEV is completely localized to America, thus meaning that any and all survivors on other continents are free of mutants. I'm not sure how much Bethesda follows this, but the early games HEAVILY implied that all creatures, as well as arguably all people, were FEV victims, meaning that radiation was not the cause of any mutations in the Fallout universe. |

| Deathclaws (or an early prototype variant of deathclaws) apparently existed before the war, and some creatures are the result of genetic splicing (like night stalkers.) So China could have its own source of "monsters" separate from FEV. Fallout China no doubt had its own mad scientists. There's also aliens that could have done who-knows-what. I think cyborgs (human with significant, visible robot parts) have also been under-utilized. It would be surprising if the U.S. was the only country to try to build large fallout shelters like the vaults. In fact, I'd be relieved to see something completely new rather than inexplicably the same creatures and factions always popping up thousands of miles apart. The story could be about the Shi of San Francisco mounting an exploratory expedition to return to their Chinese homeland. Maybe it could be a joint effort by several western factions, taking place and leaving for the west before the NCR vs Brotherhood battle at Helios. |
