| Hello again everyone! I am back and I say "for now" again because you'll never know when life just pops up and happens. I think if i remember correctly my last post on here was around last year saying i was back from my military basic training. A lot has changed since then. I've been gaming less and doing more in person things (forgive me for lack of better terms on that one) like traveling and going out. I have been here in my first duty station now for a good while of approximately 10 months. All I will say is Europe is a nice experience! Hoping for more to come in the future for however long I am here. Again I have been busy here and there ever since I joined the military but I hope i can be more active again even just a little bit here whenever the chances pop up. Maybe even share some photos maybe of travels and things that I do (of course, of what I CAN show). Anyway, hoping everyone is doing well, and for the people who knew me back then and are still here, I hope you have been well !! (And still remember me ) Thank you, and I hope to talk to you again or meet you with what chances I currently have not only now and in the future. |

| Welcome back! It's nice to meet you.
That's so cool you got to see Europe! Are you allowed to say what country or is that not allowed because of military stuff. I dunno much about the military, sorry. Would you say it's a lot different to America? I've been to neither place so I'm interested to hear what they're like. I just looked up the abbreviations for the US states and it says FL is Florida. Did you see many cool animals when you lived in Florida? I think roseate spoonbills are beautiful birds and I would be so happy to see one.
What sort of travelling do you like? Do you mean like sight seeing around towns or hiking?
Sorry if that's a lot of questions I'm just super excited to meet someone. I hope you're having a great day! _________________ |

| @John_570 Hello and welcome to GUN ! I was in the army too, (french during 15 years) and I had the opportunity to exchange with many people of the american army, (1991 desert shield & desert storm & operation daguet) temporarilly in a transportation unit. I'll be glad to read what you'll post about your own experiences, it's very interesting |

| @Crazyparrotlady Nice to meet you also. It's fine, you can ask away and I'll give an answer of what i can. But yes, it is different from America in a lot of ways but maybe a few are similar. There are more differences definitely. I am in Italy and im not too sure of different animals in Florida back at home because I lived in the city. So far I have traveled only within Italy and have seen Rome, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Matera, Florence, and Pisa. Looking forward to other countries though as well. I have done both sightsee and hike. I have hiked the Path of the Gods in the Amalfi Coast and Mount Vesuvius. @darkstyler Nice! I am in the Navy. I will be glad to share what I can with you. Also thank you for your service |

| Hey, military folk here myself (Canadian Army). I always hear from the Navy folk that they get the best time in Europe (Pull into port, have a few days of fun, back to work as you sail away for a few weeks). Sadly, the navy went and stole some of our soldiers (damn better offers and higher standard of living!).
Hope all is well in Italy, hit me up if you travel back across the ocean. _________________ _____________________________________ ________________________________________________ I'm trying, I swear |

| @FalloutBois Glad to meet you colleague, without wanting to betray the defense secret, what can you tell us about the Canadian army, your equipment, your job, ranks, etc ...? (It's an army that I admit I do not know) Are you french speaking in this army ? (francophone) @John_570 hey the navy huh, my cousin has served 10 years in the french navy on the anti-submarine frigate "the aconit", it was a great experience for him I believe. |

| @darkstyler No Sir, not toooooooo many secrets to betray ;P
I personally don't speak French all to well. However, a new possible tasking in a couple months may mean that I gotta learn it REAL fast (cries in french). I work with glorified HAM radios and satellite equipment. We're working on moving past using the American's hand-me-downs (now we're buying the Australian Airforce hand-me-downs!). _________________ _____________________________________ ________________________________________________ I'm trying, I swear |

| @John_570 lol that's cool, when my buddy transfered it took him a while before they shipped him too. Tubular that you're helping out Chaplin's, they play a super big role in any kinda forces. _________________ _____________________________________ ________________________________________________ I'm trying, I swear |

| @John_570 Personal opinion, I do not believe in God and I do not think he has anything to do with the war, but the presence of a chaplain in the ranks, as well in peacetime as on a theater of operation, (especially if the situation is bad, or ... at sea) is important and can greatly relieve the morale of the troops. The assistant is not left out, since it will relieve the chaplain, allowing him to be more efficient in his task. |
