just wanted to know because I didn't buy the season pass(2 real expansions and the rest can easily be made by modders....) debating on whether getting this DLC or just buy some other game in the same price range.

I didn't like Nuka-World.

I felt like a horrible person through the whole story, since in order to exploit various rewards and get quests and pretty much 99.9% of the content in this, you have to be a cold, cutthroat person. As a matter of fact, if you use Preston as a companion, or a pack mule or anything, Nuka-World will send you to hell, since the man will become ferociously offended by your actions if you decide to join the three Raider gangs. When I say ferociously offended; he won't speak to you or join you as a follower, and that means if you put something good in his inventory, it's lost forever unless you use console commands or mods to end his miserable life.

In my Steam review, I summed up the DLC like this.

+) It added a LOT of content and a very, very large open world to explore.
+) It was fine at times.
+) If you enjoy being a complete and total asshole, you've died and gone to heaven.
-) This was NOT a satisfying "finale" for Fallout 4. Not even close.
-) Far Harbor got me emotional over moments of morality, not because I would've wasted my money and would feel remorseful as an extension of that.
-) You lose a halfway decent subpar companion permanently if you follow the path to the Dark Side. And no, there are no cookies.
-) All of the settlements and settlers you've catered to and given birth to... you have to purge them all in order to proceed through the story. Not *all* of them necessarily, but a considerable number of them. Fortunately I dwell in Vault 88 with my 501st clones and my robot public service workers, so I didn't put much energy into the world above.

Be ugly, be bad, be a complete bastard, then Nuka World will open its doors for you!

I'd buy it just not have to worry about mods with DLC requirements alone, Nuka world DLC was fun only if you're a bad guy but it also had a cool environment to explore, the desert feel outside of nuka world is nice. story wasn't certainly isn't as good as FH and the raider settlement system is kinda confusing and implemented weirdly into the game.

If youre okay with throwing away the minutemen and you really want to be a raider its worth it, at least for me

Yes. If you take your time and really explore everything. Hut if you varrel through it you can finish it in a couole hours. I personally like the concept but they coukd have done more in my opinion. I just couldnt shake the feeling of how much the engine and time constraints limits what they can accomplish

It is a very different flavor compared to Vanilla Fallout 4 where you play as the gofer for certain factions. This mod gives you a taste of Raider life.

It is still missing stuff(like a raider ending T_T) but it is worth it in my book. Far Harbor is better imo but Nuka World has its charm too.

I trully love the bad guy feeling you have in Nuka World but I regret it's a needed condition to the accomplishment of the DLC. It's very game breaking if you played the nice guy until enter the Nuka Park. Bethesda totally failed with Fallout 4 that they succeed in Skyrim selling us worthless DLC.

In my opinion, go buy another game. There's sh*t tons of great game that are $20. Fallout 4's DLC are trash compared to FNV and Skyrim.

I really enjoyed nuka world, make a few saves, explore it, and trry to get all of the different endings. It makes the SS go from Commonwealth Saint to actual bad ass. So my vote would go for yes.

If you want a Chinese Assault Rifle lookalike, if you want to have the funkiest looking guns, if you want a paddleball as a weapon, if you want to be an enemy of the Minutemen because you just hate Garvey, then yes...yes its worth it.

I just started it up yesterday. So far it’s been good. Definitely a different experience. As others have said it may be easier to slide into if you’ve already been playing an evil/selfish character.

Yes Nuka world is a crazy fun dlc that adds some craziness to fo4 and you never know if a mod you may want to download will require it.

If you want to have your cake and eat it too, skip Preston and the Minutemen entirely at first. When you get to the level needed for Nuka World become the best raider you can be. Take over the settlements, do what you need to do....

After you complete Nuka World (and get the extra perks) you'l have a choice - keep Gage as a companion - or start the minutemen quests.. (although there is a mod to keep porter loyal.. works well.). Once you rescue Preston he'll go high and mighty on you and give you an ultimatum - Leave them alone or take out the raiders in Nuka World. At that point if you want to start down the Minutemen quests start Open Season. Once that quest is over, Preston doesnt mention the raiders again and he'll join you as normal...

Overall this DLC adds a lot of content. Many of the mods require all of the DLCs for various reasons so if you are on the fence, wait until Steam has a sale. Its worth getting.. Added lots of hours to my gameplay... (over 2100 at the moment..)
