Being that there is already a New Vegas mod project thread around here somewhere, and F4CW is in the spotlight now with F4NV, I thought it was suitable to open this to discuss thoughts on the project.
I have already said my thoughts on why both teams should work together to reduce workload. It seems like a missed opportunity and pointless decision to have two teams working on projects that aim to recreate the same assets, but I definitely am looking forward to both of the projects if they ever are released to the public. I don't want to take my own thread off-topic, but Fallout 4's worldspace and roleplay elements were pretty lacking in my opinion. Having a 3/NV remake into the new engine would remedy the problems with said games (mostly animations and combat), while highlighting what made Fallout 4 a great game in the first place and what it was lacking. That's just my personal thoughts anyway, feel free to state yours.

NafNaf (CW lead) talked about on his stream why they aren't working with NV team. If I remember correctly, CW team really wanted to work with NV team. But some of the NV team members were like, I don't see the reason why we should share assets, if you want you can check his stream out at around 02:30:0 he starts talking about it.

@Evilpwn You will start a new game since it's a remake of both those games.

@GhostCR0 Yeah, I think it's fair to say I appreciate what the F4NV team are doing (since it's no easy job to recreate an entire game in another engine), but from the sounds of it, a lot of them sound stuck up and illogical. Even if they don't like Fallout 3, they are reducing workload for themselves by collaborating. I completely understand what Naf is saying when a game's community ruins the actual game itself. I often find myself in the same boat. I love New Vegas as much as I do 3 and 4, but boy has it changed from being the black sheep of the series to being fiercely protected by an angry mob of fanboys, but I'll end that now before I derail my own thread.
It's naturally harder for F4CW to get more recognition anyway. Obsidian are more active with their fans and giving attention to a mod like F4NV is bound to send a lot of of support to them. Bethesda on the other hand has ignored the their fans ever since the launch of creation club and just how much hate they got for it from what I've seen. The hate for 4 also sends a lot of hate for 3 too, so it's more risky to support F4CW than it is F4NV.

I support all of the "remaster" mods. The effort ya'll put into it really shows the passion you have for the franchise. That being said Fallout 3 wasn't really high on my favorites. I am more looking forward to FO4 NV, but I fully support this and will download if and when it is completed.
