| Ok so it finally happened juicehead did a video and included one of my mods. I've got a bit of mixed feelings about it. On the one hand it's nice to be recognized but on the other like a lot of other modders on here I don't like the term illegal. I think we can all agree there has been a huge uptick in new members because of juice. Which so far seems to be a good thing. I don't want to make my mods private as of now but I want to know what would happen if I did. I'm not promoted yet. Can I even do it? And if I did would I be able to see them or would they be invisible since I'm not allowed in that section? Thanks to anyone that knows the answer. _________________

| @annex77 Setting your mods to private will not protect your mods, people will still leak them. Protection from lawyers and companies looking to go after you with a DMCA, yes, at least they won't be able to go directly to said file page as evidence to serve the site with a DMCA. In the end though, it's your decision. The private section was requested by some of the modders, so it's your right to put there if you want. As to you being able to access it, I don't think so, if my understanding of how the forum system works. You'd need to be colonial, but I could be wrong. I'd message DVAted and get his take on it. |

| @"Evmeister" Thank you for the response. Yeah I can't put my mods in a section I can't see. I need to be able to answer questions or take bug reports. I messaged DVAted a while back to see if I had any votes for promotion. And he said I would be considered. I was even a member of the vgnu but I wasn't a modder back then. I would only go private if I received a 100% comfirmable DMCA. I hope that never happens. _________________ |
