Hey guys! I know we have a big Star Wars fanbase here and I am a fan, so I'm wondering which faction you guys side with in the Star Wars universe? It can be any entity, whether the Sith, the Jedi, the Imperials, the Separatists, the Rebels, the Republic, 1st Order, etc..

I'm wondering because I'm trying to burst out of my social shell (Doing good so far!) and I want your guy's opinions on each faction. I'm a Imperial/1st Order guy, I don't like the Sith at all, Jedi are awesome, the Separatists were just a made up entity for war, and Rebels have a cause worth fighting for. Let me know in the section below.

I just like the Imperials because of their armor. I could care less about their ideologies, but Sith do seem to be a lot cooler than the Jedi despite them all being selfish and narcissistic.

If I had to be a force user, I'd probably be somewhat of a Grey Jedi. I personally don't understand when the Jedi want to "balance the force" but then fight to eradicate all Sith. If the force was balanced, that would mean the Jedi and Sith would exist simultaneously. Moreover, it would be quite an advantage to be able to use both lightside and darkside abilities against enemies.

I think the Rebels have fair reason to fight, and if I were to be honest they have the better ideology if they surely do want to restore the Republic and y'know, not live under a dictatorship and two siths that are the equivalent of moustache-twirling bandits, but I digress.

For the 1st Order I share the same opinions as I do the Empire. They have cool armor, perhaps more so than the original Empire when it comes down to their Stormtroopers but, a lot of them seem like wannabes, especially Kylo Ren and Snoke.

Yeah, I agree that the 1st Order are tryharding the Dark side a bit too much and its very laughable! But yeah I agree with your points. The Imperials and the 1st Order have SUPER DOPE armor so that is a good reason why I side with them. I'm just wondering isn't the New Republic dead since, uhhumm, the Destruction of the New Republic Solar System? So the rebels are back to fighting like the old days, right?

i side with the mandalorians cause they don't take sides, they will work for anyone as long s the credits are good. then you have the resol'nare which is a code of honor, about being loyal to yourself, loyal to your family, loyal to your leader and being loyal to your culture. i'm heart and soul a mandalorian at heart, and i wouldn't dare trade that for any other faction in the star wars universe. plus mandalorians are bad ass warriors who don't take crap from anyone!!

By your picture, I can tell you love the mandolorians! I totally forgot about them and I think they are integral to the plot of Star Wars but I wish they would make a Mandalorian Spin off like Rogue One or something cause they ARE SO badass. Anyways, anybody else wanna mention any factions or races that I forgot to mention and tell me why you side with them?

By the way, can anybody explain why they haven't shown any Grey Jedis on the movies? We've only seen the dark side and the light side, and just wondering who else would side with the Grey Jedis?

P.S Bobbadan, do you prefer Boba or Jango? I like Jango more, his armor is blue which is one of my favorite colors.

@TheRatDragon, boba fett all the way, their is much more to boba fett then jango, more expanded universe stuff, and more back story. not that i don't like jango, but i just think boba is more of a bad ass. And now that we've heard their is a boba fett movie being made then i'm exicted to finally get to see a star wars movie thats about mandalorians.

But didn't Boba get swallowed whole by the Great Pit of Carkoon of Tatooine? Is like a prequel of Boba's life? We only got a small glimpse of him as a child when Jango died so that would be interesting to replay. Anyways, anybody else got factions or organizations that I don't know about and your opinion on them? I would love to hear everybody's side on Star Wars factions.

The Mandalorians side with the Empire during the Hyperspace War.

I think I would be a Jedi under the Old Republic or during the Clone War. I always try to help people, and I don't think it would be hard for me to put justice before feelings. But I truly love the Empire during the Old Republic era.

I like the Sith mainly because of armor, force powers, and red lightsabers. But I also always liked that they had more freedom than Jedi. Mandalorians are also very cool, but the main reason that SW got me was the lightsabers. It was like knights in a sci-fi world. So the Sith have always been my absolute favorite. Plus if you go by SWTOR rules you can be a good Sith. Help people while being loyal to the empire. However if it was real life, I'd probably be a grey jedi, or just a general force user trying to help people. (P.S. sorry if I'm not making sense, I'm very tired right now.)

I choose the Siths. I just like them. No why's or anything, they are just cooler than the Jedi's who can only use the force to moisturize themselves.

@Gaska, you must mean the mandalorian wars instead, and the mandalorians fight along side them, its not like they join them. we used the sith, the side used us. we had mutaul goals, we used them strength to help tryand conguer the galaxy, the sith eventually turned on the mandalorains and that ended working together. the mandalorians will"side " with someone if it benefits them in some way.

@Garska, i've read up on the history and most of the expanded universe stuff on mandalorians, i really hoping to finally see something about mandalorians in the new star wars trilogy, so far nothing been mentioned, except in star wars rebels but thats back during the rebellion era. i'd like to see how the mandalorians are faring during the first order/allinace era thats in the new trilogy, i'm assuming they are still around, but nothing has been said about them yet.

I'm an Empire man, myself. The Republic was a dying and corrupt ruling body in dire need of large scale changes. But that would've taken too much time, effort, manpower and money. Palpatine offered an easier alternative -- the Galactic Empire. It offered peace and stability during an age of turmoil and strife at the price of some personal freedoms. Due to the Empire being a dictatorship (or "constitutional monarchy" as some would have you believe) widespread senate corruption was very unlikely as only a select few individuals held a significant amount of power. I believe in neither Jedi nor Sith; both foolishly stumble over their own codes of conduct and represent two opposite extremes. But put Palpatine's Sith nature aside for a moment and he could've been a fantastic leader who lead the galaxy into a new age of serenity. The Republic is always fated to fail, that's the nature of such large ruling bodies. But it's also the nature of the Empire and any other political movements inspired by it (see: The First Order) as both are too extreme to work. The Republic works on paper, but it's too massive to really control in an effective way. The Empire works on paper, but strips the freedoms of its citizens too much in the name of stability and control - which leads to rebellion.

When all's said and done, though, no matter how faulted it may be - I'll always be an Empire man at heart. They've got TIEs and beautiful plastic armor

I admit I love the empire, mainly because of the armor. Not a huge fan of the empire due to its own corruption. The empire has a lot of bigoted and/or corrupt leaders who are far more focused on making themselves look good then actually getting shit done. Its one reason I like thrawn, he is loyal to the empire and efficient. He is no glory hog, he just seeks to enforce the order the empire has established. He has his own flaws and issues but I do like him a lot.

First pick would be the Mandalorians, I love everything about them, the armor, the history, and their culture.

Second would be the Republic. Mostly because their military looks cool and they are good guys.

I'm always for the Empire, The uniforms, the vehicles the everything!

Peace through Order

Personally, its Mandalorians for me all the way. As long as we're talking about the Expanded Universe. On the other hand, I refuse to acknowledge the canon Mandalorians.

I'm old enough to have read a huge chunk of the expanded universe and remember it well so I'm going to go with the Rebels. Each side has it's pro's and con's but for me the empire under Sidious and his goons is just too evil. They subjugate entire sectors and repress huge sections of society while enriching themselves. That's not to say they don't have good qualities like efficiency and the galaxy was largely more peaceful under them than it was in under the New Republic.

For those reasons I'd be compelled to join the rebels even with all the issues they have like infighting, corruption, and starships that don't look as cool.
