OK look... I'm not saying that I don't want a Fallout 5 i'm just saying that they should make a FNV Remastered first in the new or newer engine.

It would be awesome to see on of my favorite games come back better than ever! They could also implement the Settlement System in places like Goodsprings, Nipton, Mole Rat Ranch, and the NV Highway Patrol Station.

All the characters would look awesome in the engine and especially the gunplay.

They could also make it bigger and better and maybe even more like the original concept art for new vegas could happen!

I must admit. Seeing characters like Cass or Boone in a new Engine would be awesome.
But I think a Fallout NV Remastered would just be like the Skyrim Remastered - Just a few mods and not much people would really play it.

IMO I liked the Settlement system. But it wasnt really good.

Also I think that you can make your Fallout NV with mods better looking than a remaster.

I hope Bethesda wont make Fallout OR take some advice from modders. OR just respect critics. But its Bethesda so they wont do both of it.

FO5 being that it's a new game and not the same old game with a shiny new coat of paint.

Saying that though, I do wish the Bethesda writers would, instead of sitting around drinking whiskey, actually come up with new possibilities for quests and choices.

Also, you can pretty much remaster New Vegas already with mods. The "new" engine Bethesda uses for FO4 is basically just a flashier Gamebryo.

I actually believe we should get, in time, a new fallout title. I don't want New Vegas to follow Skyrim's path, although it's not likely.

just imagine playing fallout new vegas in a fallout 4 engine, not just better graphics, better game-physics, combat, etc. etc. on top of that it'll just be new vegas with it's classic fallout feeling, no convoluted story about a morally confusing faction that makes robots, kidnaps people and that's pretty much it *cough* fallout 4 *cough*

The only way they're going to remaster New Vegas is on it's own engine, though it would be nice. I'd rather build settlements for Independent Vegas or NCR in New Vegas rather than stupid fuckall Minutemen in Fallout 4.

Tricky question -- does the question require us to pick one to the eternal exclusion of the other? Or, would F5 just be two years later if we got FNV remastered?

Also, the specifics of FNV remastered are very important. Is the game being rebuilt from scratch where it will achieve the full glory of a heavily modded FNV and then some? Or would it just be a boring edit to the vanilla game?

I think it would be boring edit to the vanilla game version, because there is nothing to edit in quests imo. But rebuilding the game where it will achieve a massive glory - is worthy idea.

well i'd hope that a remaster for such a great game would be more than a simple graphic overhaul that we could achieve with mods anyway. if they were to remaster new vegas they'd really need to outdo themselves, because the alternative would be getting outshown by the already existing mods for the original new vegas. personally i wouldn't mind if they ported over some features from fallout 4, like crafting etc. but kept the core mechanics of new vegas

This will NEVER happen.

Bethesda would view such a project as an invalidation of their...uhm, gameplay design philosophy, or whatever you want to call their lazy and uncreative approach to FO4 and it's RPG mechanics (or staggering lack thereof). Obsidian has committed the mortal sin of outshining the master - twice (and the second time without even trying). I can all but guarantee Bethesda would never entertain the notion of remastering a game which shines such a glaring spotlight on their own shortcomings.

And it's a tragedy. So deep is the butthurt that instead of using the core mechanics of NV as a solid base on which to build, FO4 spitefully relegated all of it to the trash heap and declared "you'll build settlements for moronic NPCs, and you'll LOVE it."

As long as the money keeps pouring in Bethesda couldn't care less about ripping the Fallout out of Fallout with each new installment.

What is about NV that people like so much? I didn`t care for it myself. The world felt smaller to me and I prefer more room to roam. The quests were ok but I cannot think of a single one that made my jaw drop. The factions to me felt boring. I chased Benny for as chip and had to decide who I wanted to side with, but didn`t care because no faction other then the Brotherhood appealed to me. Even the Brotherhood in NV I didn`t care that much for because they had little showtime.

The DLC I was mixed on. Dead Money I liked. Lonesome Road was ok to explore once but the story I didn`t like. Honest Hearts didn`t do anything for me. Old World Blues was ok to explore but I didn`t care for the story.

I think making Fallout 5 would be a better bet. With all the feedback Bethesda gets, chances are the next fallout game may have more of what the NV fans like. They already nailed the upgrade and combat system to be better then any of the previous games so the next step is fleshing out the story a little better.

I would hope it would be rebuilt from scratch but also keeping the key elements that made New Vegas.. New Vegas

I'd have to go with no. I'd rather see Bethesda allow obsidian to work on a new Fallout rather than have them release a remaster of New Vegas that will have less high quality looking graphics than our current enbs.

The thing that made FNV my favorite was the replay value. Even when I did the same faction over and over finished the game so many times. Fallout 4 I only finished 3 times

This isn't just about the graphics even tho it would be awesome

@"xxitsapotatoxx" I highly doubt they would add new content to a new vegas remaster. Sure, maybe some bug fixes, but we already got player made patches that can fix these issues. I honestly do hope they allow obsidian to make another Fallout game though. That would be a dream come true.

Do you guys think we will get another fallout between 4 and 5, like new vegas? I am crossing my toes everyday, and it is starting to hurt. In any instance, I want to see both remastered New Vegas (or 3, since it was Bethesda), and 5!

As of right now, I'm getting tired of sequels, but even more so remasters. Both are great, but I feel that the modern market is too busy cashing in on what works to the point of them kicking a dead horse. Anyways, FNV can be made to work really well with mods and I do know of a few modding teams trying to bring in familiar world spaces like the Capital Wasteland.
