So I was thinking, back in the 90's Marvel and DC had a vs crossover comic series. And there have been video games such as Marvel vs Capcom and DC vs Mortal Kombat. So why haven't they made a Marvel vs DC video game? I'm sure both companies and the game company would make a lot of money from it. People could pit Deathstroke against Deadpool, Superman vs Thor, Batman vs Wolverine, ect. I'm sure they could come up with a good story that would make sense. What are your thoughts?

Spoiler:
Not that I'm a fan of the Death battle series, i usually find them, bias and I'm constantlly saying "but" and "what if", but they've definetly done stuff like that, but let's face it, if you have deadpool on your team your likely always gonna win (atleast in lore).
unless...:
I think DC are doing well with video games, Between the excellent Arkham series and now injustice 2, why team up with a company who as of late have only really had success with the lego games (I joke of course, or do I?, only marvel games I remember have been awfull movie licensed ones). Also WarnerBro's now have shadow of war under their wing, considering the hype train that will transfer from the first game, they have both alot to live up to and alot of money to make from that game alone

I'm a fan of both; though admittedly — I have a bias towards Marvel since I love Star Wars, Doctor Strange & X-Men so much. On the other hand, I love Cyborg, Batman, Hellblazer, Justice League, etc. (Hell, my favorite superhero of all time is Cyborg!)
I find it's pretty rare for someone to like just one of them. Both Marvel & DC have at least one great franchise.
I digress, though. I think it's the whole thing in business etiquette where you shouldn't get too friendly with your competitors. Either that, or die-hard brand loyalty. It would be really rad to see Cyborg fight Cyclops, or Dr. Strange fight Batman.
Man, a game like this never once crossed my mind. But now... now I can't stop thinking about it; I need this awesomeness in my life! (Though it can be achieved with MUGEN, albeit not quite as elegantly)

I agree DC is putting out way better games than Marvel. I think the only Marvel games I enjoyed playing was Punisher, and Both Ultimate Alliance games. The Ghost Rider game was horrible, didn't care for how they implemented the play for Wolverine and Deadpool. They could have been done better. Deadpool started off great and then became a hack and slash let down. I don't like Lego games, I prefer more realism in my game characters. Also I rather RPG over hack and slash.

To be completely honest, I think that if someone says "I ONLY like Marvel" or "I ONLY like DC" I will immediately assume you don't really know anything about or care about comic books as a fan. There are so many good things that both have to offer. You can favor one in any category of course, that's totally fine.
For me, I think: Movies go to Marvel, TV Shows go to Marvel (barely), Current Comics go to DC, Video Games go to DC, branding/merchandise/toys goes to Marvel, Old Comics it's probably a tie for me.
Too many tangents lol. But I don't think that a DC/Marvel game will ever happen, at least in the next 10-15 years. The companies are so different in their approach to the market, which is especially evident in the movie market. Marvel is currently working with Square Enix and some other companies to make a multi-game universe about the Avengers, Insomniac's Spiderman game, next Marvel vs. Capcom game, and Telltales GOTG game. And DC has Injustice 2, Arkham, etc.
There's pretty bad blood in a sense between the two. Occasionally you'll hear someone at one company bad-talk the other, then someone higher up will denounce it, and nothing comes from it. The Amalgam comics were pretty shitty and that was back in the 90s when comics were dying. Maybe someday, if the market starts dying again, they'll approach each other. Maybe.

Too many variables, you can't really make a proper Winner/loser situation here... atleast if you're a comics fan.
Still, KentuckyFT, i would like to know why you think Marvel got better Tv series, as of now. Just wanted your opinion. I actually am in love with Arrow, Flash comics ( i used to like SHIELD, but it's falling apart, sadly. Agent Carter is better than shield right now) and also need to atch the crossovers with super girl arrow and flash all in one
Edit: I am just tired. I completely forgot about Daredevil, Luke cage and The new Legion tv series ( all of them i still have to watch.. but no time sadly). Also, jessica jones? Upcming Iron Fist and Punisher aswell.... Damn. I wish i had free time.
