This topic was made to know which is your first Fallout franchise game and how do you knew about her?
Mine first was Fallout: New Vegas, i get known about this game from the one cool russian buddy and loved this game like he! The second was Fallout 4, i got hyped by New Vegas, and the last one was original Fallout 1.

Fallout 3, before it came out I never even heard of the franchise. Christmas '08 my older brother got a copy of it on the Xbox and I was watching him play all day. I was like "this shit looks sensational". I ended up playing it and loving it. We both moved on to PC versions and that's that.

My first fallout was the new Vegas on the recommendation of a friend of mine who is very fanatical of this saga, and in the end I am another fan

I started with Fallout 3, which at the time was very well done. Sincerely I preferred the RTS but one of my friends insisted that I try it and then I discovered the mods ..... I totally adored the series, like many of us I think.

New Vegas. When i was in high school, i was always getting games every 3 months or so. Whenever i went into gamestop, i didnt leave without buying something lol. New Vegas was on sale for 20 dollars and published by Bethesda so i was like why not. I bought it and loved it (after getting past the intro - my first time playing these games so I dont know what to do with all this freedom).
Bought Fallout 3 (was good, not too bad at the time), Fallout 4 (I just have no motivation to play without mods), and Fallout 2 ( i will start it eventually - watching a Fallout 1 playthrough)

I was born to a not so wealthy family. We couldn't really afford a lot of stuff, especially the newer things. So I grew up playing on my father's NES and PC. The very first game I played belongs to a franchise I still adore and play often to this day — Mega Man 3 on the NES. But I digress. This is about Fallout!
I discovered Fallout through my dad. He owned both Fallout and Fallout 2. I first played Fallout 2. I detest playing things outside of chronological order, but I was so young then I didn't care at all. I didn't play it to completion. Just sorta fucked around... I don't think I even made it outside of Arroyo back then. Forgot about it for a while. My parents divorced when I was about 6, and I didn't see or hear from my dad since. Fast forward to October 19th, 2009. I got some news about my dad. He passed away in his sleep from a heart attack. I was washed over with a shitload of memories. I decided I'd play a bunch of his old games in his honor. So I nolifed Fallout 2 and a bunch of NES games like Castlevania.
I fell in love with the Fallout series, and once I finished Fallout 2 I played Fallout 1 and bought 3. Haven't returned to the classics in a while, I've just been playing NV... maybe I should play them again, if only for old time sake.

My first fallout game was Fallout 3 and I'm not gonna lie I didn't know anything about the game and just pirated it from some torrent site probably thinking it was just another fps shooter. I had no knowledge of different genres such as fallout either.
When I started the game it was so weird that I could just open cabinet doors or take cups off the table and stuff. I was so puzzled that why would I open this or take this random object. But then I realized it's not about taking the cup or not it's about the freedom of doing what you want and that's probably what made me love the game.

Fallout 3, because I was fan of Morrowind and got it because of the name-tag of Bethesda. The old FO's 1 and 2 were never known on my side of globe prior that. In fact they weren't legally available for long time after either. I knew none and nothing about Fallouts and based on initial trailer it looked like TES with guns, seemed work to me. Who knew that I'd swap TES fandom to fallout later on.
Then came NV and I was completely sold to the franchise. I've played them all, but now I cannot replay any of the old ones (older than 4th) due technical reasons and I kind of miss New Vegas a lot.

Fallout 3. Nothing can beat the warm, buttery tones of sweet nostalgia walking down Old Olney and the Jefferson Memorial. I wish I could revisit playing FO3 on the X360. It was such a great experience.
I played a little of the earlier games but I prefer the 3D games a whole lot more.

I rented Fallout 3 on a whim one day back in 2008. I don't think I ever returned the game and just paid the rental store for the game. I think some of my greatest days after school were spent desperately trying to avoid Deathclaws and abusing the hell out of the Hunting Rifle. Been a fan ever since, despite how much of a disappointment Fallout 4 was to me, I've went back and played 1, 2 and Tactics (it was p. fucking cool tbh).

Fallout 1 & 2 for me, stumbled upon them in a thrift store when I was a wee bit kid. $2 for the package was the sweetest deal I never knew. Mint condition as well, but I didn't know about the value of such a package back then. I installed FO2 and played it before FO1 for some weird reason I can't remember.

Fallout 3 was the first game I played after a friend from work told me how great it was. I then played New Vegas. After that I bought the collection with Fallout 1 2 and tactics. So glad my friend introduced me to the franchise.

Fallout 3, my dad introduced it to me on our PS3. A year later I bought it on my PC and I was introduced to modding, I remember how magical it was when I loaded up my first mods, got New Vegas on my PC when the mods started to pump out, and the rest is history.

Originally Fallout 2 but as I got pissed off with being blown to fuck with a rocket launcher I couldn't dodge I quit but as you can tell Fallout 3 is what brought my Fallout soul back to life it was a great game and I will always say it was the best Fallout.

My first Fallout was Fallout 3 my brother showed it when he first got it for Xbox 360. I mostly just watched him blow up raiders and super mutants faces which just made me want to play it so bad so I waited for him to get off the Xbox hours later so I could at least try it and the wait was totally worth it.

I don't remember whether it was New Vegas or 3. I just really loved the over the top dark humor of New Vegas from which I saw in a few playthroughs, I was sold on it right away and bought it. Fallout 3 just captivated me, because of it's interesting dungeons and lore...I think it was 3 actually! So yea, I just was so interested by the Fallout universe because of it.

For me it was Fallout New Vegas. I was 11 and had just gotten my first gaming laptop. I wanted to try out a game so I decided buy and give Fallout NV a go. Prior I had never heard of Fallout before and didn't know what it was about, the cover art was enough to persuade me though. Turns out I had a ton of fun and even more fun when I started modding my game.
After that I decided to buy Fallout 3 and I ended up loving that too. I still have to get around to playing Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics, hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.

You should, they are great games in my opinion. Especially Fallout 1 and 2.
In matter of fact, Fallout 2 was my first Fallout game and I loved it when I first got my hands on it. Before that I just watched when my friends were playing it. There is the mod for it called F2 Restoration Project by Killap, it adds missing content like locations and NPC's and a lot of bug fixes.

Shoot this goes way back in 2008 when I got my first Rig. My first Fallout was Fallout 1, initially I wanted fallout 3 but the rents said nope, so I settled for fallout 1 which had more mature content IMO. Anyways I immediately fell in love with the game as the cool 80's mad max vibe with a balanced mix of 90's & 50's sci-fi aesthetics rang quite well with me at the time. I later went on to Fallout 2 got pissed off at the temple of trials, and then struggled a bit in the beginning but got set on the right course when I discovered vault 15 via NCR.
I then later got Fallout 3 GOTY, liked it for the first 4 days, and found myself kind of disliking it, mechanics wise and aesthetics wise (finished it anways, I love the pitt). Fallout NV would sorta fix the mechanics for me, but Fo4 is sorta on the right path aesthetics wise but went completely backwards in terms of mechanics.

My first game in Fallout series is...Fallout 3, because it was 2008. Then I cant play this, because i dont know what i must doing and i scared of some creatures (For example, I'm still afraid of beings like Casadors or murlocs). Only then I went through it
