Hi, I have been a lurker for quite some time and just recently decided to finally become active and not just some trash account that shows up from time to time.
When it comes to Fallout, I am a huge fan ever since I played Fallout 2 a decade and something ago, and since I was a kid I was obsessed with pretty much all post-apocalyptic media, Mad Max, Postman, Fallout, Wasteland, you name it.
Apart from some minor experience with the Geck, Nifskope and some Wc3 model editing, I dont really know how to mod, but mods have really been a huge part of my gaming. Could not play any bethesda games vanilla.
Also, this isnt really connected in any way to modding, but I make stuff. Out of anything really, metal, fiberglass, regular glass, wood, etc. I would not call myself a cosplayer, because most of the things I make I find a use for in everyday life and wear them that way and apart from LARPs, I dont really do Comic Cons and such. Wanted to attach some of my creations, that you might recognize
EDIT: here is how many of these little suckers I made until I got the shape right:

Hey, thanks a lot. Hopefully I will learn to navigate the modding tools for fallout as well!
The pip boy was a hit and miss experiment. The base model is the Pip-Boy 3000, from FO:3 and New Vegas, however the design was heavily modified - such as inverting it so that it would fit onto a right arm, instead of left, I wanted to make some parts out of rusted metal and use keys from an old keyboard instead of the regular buttons you would find on a pipboy. It was supposed to be a "raider" version of a pip boy, that was heavily damaged and someone just hammered it out into semi-working shape. I am planning on doing this again in the future, when work and studies allow more time.
@Rebelyell1864, thanks bud! Anything in particular? I finished three working motorcycle helmets, that are star wars inspired (Demagol, Lord Adraas and Revan), have a full Road Warrior costume which is basically the outfit I wear when riding my bike, absent the gun, ofc
Heres the Road Warrior jacket, with some Beyond Thunderdome modifications for my personal liking

And a completed Revan from KoTOR:

@cerruti Its funny you should ask... I am starting that project with my friend this summer! Its going to be a full FO4 power armor frame at first, made out of actual metal welded together. When we finish the frame and it will be fully functioning, additional armor pieces will be made by me out of fiberglass, so that it doesnt add to the weight. Fiberglass is really sturdy and can be made so that it is also light. The frame itself will function like an exo-skeleton, pretty much like the suits they had in Edge of Tomorrow, absent the mechanized parts. You will just step into it, click all the parts shut around you and then add the armor pieces onto the frame.
This guy and his videos serve as our inspiration:
EDIT: spelling!

@Constable Canada sure! You wish to see more of the RW leg brace? Or other stuff that I made? I can post better pictures of it - the brace! Also, to be perfectly honest, if you have studied the second Mad Max movie like I have, you would have noticed that my brace is considerably different this wasnt done on purpose, but as I was making it, it proved to be the most complicated and tough to do part of the entire outfit. The metal parts I had would just not bend, they were either too thick or too short, so in the end I just decided to make finish it with what I had available and make the most out of the parts I could,
F.E. my brace consists of several smaller metal rods/plates and the official Gibson Road Warrior is made mostly out of two/four larger plates. Also, the placement of my knee pad is wrong, it should be lower - something that can be easily fixed and I plan on doing it. And the joints I have around the knee are too thick and too heavy. My brace has actual proper orthopedic joints, while Gibsons brace had a simple rivet connecting the two larger metal plates.
Anyway, this is just my strive for perfection always finding the imperfections in my work
