| I didn't want to tag this with any particular Fallout game since I think this could apply to any of them, but how many people on GUN would consider themselves a firearms enthusiast and if so does that affect how you enjoy the modern Fallout series? Do you just ignore the weird inaccuracies and inconsistencies because they are just video games or do you try your best to fix/correct them? |

| Well i do like firearms, i collect replicas and everything, but about weapons in fallout games, i don't mind lack of realism, i love them, especially energy weapons. What is it you could hate about having a gun that shoots plasma or laser ? |

| I am interested in firearms, like Hamster, I collect replicas too. In the original Fallout's I didn't mind the guns, but in Fallout 4 I didn't like the weird comic book style weapons, they just felt out of place. Like at least in the earlier ones you could tell which guns they are based off of, not there though. _________________ You're a funny guy Sully, that's why I'm gonna kill you last. -Arnold Schwarzenegger

| Well, it depends. I love weapon mods and I tend to hoard weapons in game and collect as many as I can in my containers _________________ Walking down an unknown road |

| Well honnestly only thing i didn't really like is, plasma thrower modification in fallout 4 i don't think plasma would behave like this, it's more like gas or i simply don't know enough about plasma, my only experience with it is plasma cutting. |

| Well yeah I guess I am a firearms enthusiast. I like to use a lot of custom weapons in my playthroughs and to be honest I can't really play without them. Although there is nothing wrong with the vanilla weapons, I just like custom guns more. _________________ |

I'm fine with energy weapons (should have stated that this question was more directed towards ballistic ones and not energy) but personally I can't stand Fallout 4's vanilla guns. Fake firearms and ones that don't mesh 1-to-1 with the real world are fine with me as long as they at least look like they were designed by someone who knows how they work. I do my best to tune my games to be as immersive as I can get them and knowing as much as I do about firearms, more specifically how they work on a mechanical level, that desire for immersion gets extended to them. The reason why I frown when I see how weird and unrealistic the Pipe guns in FO4 are is the same reason why I try to avoid using highly modern guns like AR-15's covered in rails. Guns don't have to be ultra realistic, they just have to make sense y'know? |

| I seen ya on discord ^^ Well I don't mind the Fallout weapons, but then again I ignore them once mods become available. Especially a Savage Arms bolt action rifle!

| I love guns and reading on their history, but it doesn't really bother me about the weapons in fallout, only thing that bothers me is the robot animations of 3 and New Vegas and that's about it. Thank god for our animation modders here. _________________ - PC SPECS:

| I'm not too big into guns, but I'm not really bothered by the inconsistencies within the game. Remember this is a video game with teleportation and robots. However, with the small details like the bolt action rifle in 4 reloading the wrong way, it annoys me mildly seeing it again and again. |

That's exactly what I'm talking about. As I said, I'm not looking for Arma/Mil-Sim levels of realism but all of the little inconsistencies and inaccuracies get under the skin. I can accept robots and plasma rifles because I have no real world analog for how they work but seeing every bolt/lever action being left-handed and gun designs that make no sense is what bothers me. |

| Bolt on the left side was clear heresy and there's no other thing that bothers me this much.

| I'd consider myself a gun enthusiast simply because I know a lot about them. Certain things bother me, like bolt on the left, but others don't. What really gets me is the out of place Deliverer handgun, but that's one pistol. _________________ We have arrived, and it is now that we perform our charge. | I'd consider myself a bit of an enthusiast
The odd animations defiantly bother me, but not nearly as much compared to the lack of variety in Fo4. With the great new mod system I can understand that they're technically "different" but at the same time, they're not. Also Bethesda seemed to mimic Fo3 in that the "uniques" are just statistically different (or in Fo4's case, having legendary effects) instead of being visible unique.
I find it really odd that the only true unique (the Deliverer) even has unique animations. But still wish that they would've added at least 5-10 more unique variants or weapons. _________________ |

| Like many who've already posted, I'm also a firearm enthusiast. As a firearms owner and former marine I've spent quite a lot of time behind the trigger and I too find some of the inaccuracies in the game to be slightly bothersome. Not so much the left handed bolt action since those are made for left handed shooters in real life. (I just tell myself everyone in the Commonwealth in FO4 was lefthanded.) But the deliverer equip and revolver reload animatons are what get me.
Seeing the slide get racked back every time the deliverer gets pulled out bugs me since I'm wondering whether the PC is chambering a new round or doing a chamber check, and why they need to do it everytime even if I didn't fire a round.
The revolver animations only bothers me cause it becomes an etiquette thing in handling a revolver. I would never flip or swing shut my revolver because of the damage it would do to the crane. If I knew anything about animations and stuff I would try to fix it, but since I don't I just enjoy the game. _________________ |

| I wouldn't really consider myself to be an "enthusiast," however I do own quite a few firearms. That said, I honestly cannot stand how weak some of the guns feel in the series as a whole. I mean, Fallout 4 had some pretty decent gun-play compared to the other titles, but the weapons were so unbelievably bland and pea-shooterish that I didn't find myself enjoying the game as much. The prime example of a weak weapon would have to be the SMG. It sounds terrible and does very little damage to the point where it's virtually useless, and only serves as an item to get a few caps off of from a sale. Maybe it's just the actual audio for the guns that makes me feel this way? Who knows; all I can say is thank God for modders. _________________ "You know what, Trigger?
