| I really dont like what they did with the weapons in f4 they just made less weapons and then added some "Legendary" stats like unlimited ammo etc they should have just made more weapons like in fallout 3/NV with a uniqe version of the weapon. Just look at these weapons WTF Bethesda are they even trying? combat shotgun that looks just like a combat rifle...... - "uniqness":

| I think the combat shotgun and the combat rifle look similar because they were trying to reference the Kalashnikov family of weapons and how adaptable they were. Going from single shot rifles to auto rifles to snipers to shotguns, etc.
I think it could've been executed better. (Having the Combat Shotgun be a mod for the Combat Rifle, to truly show off the adaptability of the weapon, while having the standard Combat Shotgun's place taken up by a different type of shotgun) But I don't hate what they did there.
What I do hate is taking away unique textures/models and just slapping a prefix onto randomly generated weapons. I fail to see how a rolling pin that gives me +15 damage if I'm addicted to something is legendary.
Hopefully, in a few years when mods have started to make the game playable again, there'll be something that nerfs the "legendary" weapons to just normal stat boosted weapons, and sticks in actual, unique weapons in the game world. _________________ Grudge rhymes with fudge.

| Yeah I wish they would of done what they did in FNV or F3 where custom named weapons had cool skins and attachments you couldn't find anywhere else. They also kind of got lazy with the special named weapons with very little "uniqueness" in terms of skins, attachments and abilities in FO4. This also carries over to armors as they are basically reskins of normal variants.
Though as always modders have come to the rescue! Trainwiz has put out a mod called Unique Uniques which kind of gives the weapons cool custom things to really standout like little skins and attachments. I think their are also some expansions that go with the mod so at least there's that. Still nothing for armors that I know about though. |

| Fallout 4 forgot to be a Fallout game and instead wanted to be Memelands and a Bioware game. |

| Yeah I agree the legendary weapons are boring. I also wonder why they got rid of the different ammo types and changed things like AP to a upgrade for the rifle? I also think they should bring back the repair system because it feels so easy and dumb that care and maintenance of the weapons was removed. But anyway they already screwed the guns for me with LEFT HANDED BOLT ACTION RIFLES, WHICH THE CHARACTER USES WITH THEIR RIGHT HAND!!!! it annoys me soooo much it actually stopped me from using the bolt action rifles. so yeah I just really don't like the weapons and design of them in this game I guess. _________________ ''To the edge of the universe and back endure and survive''.
