It's never really crossed my mind before, but after seeing this face more in FO4 I'm really curious if there is some sort of backstory to all the metal and stone statues of this head:

Since the US was basically a Fascist state, before the bombs fell, I'm assuming it's the president at the time?

I've always wondered that myself who that guy was myself, it is safe to presume it was the final President of the United States or past presidents between the timeline convergence after 1969 from our own timeline.

I believe it's Carl Bell, the first human in space in Fallout universe. It's Museum of Technology after all.

When you study the head closer, you can notice that it is wearing something which resembles a space helmet. Museum of History and National Archives also has different monuments and I don't have any idea who they might be. Though I think at least either of them is the last president before the great war. Or his predecessor, another unnamed president.
