| For those who are interested by an immersive role-playing start in FNV, I created some balanced archetypes:
Engineer: [IN, PE] Repair, Science, Explosives Gunner: [AG, PE, IN] Guns, Explosives, Repair Guru: [CH, EN, PE] Speech, Survival, Energy Weapons Hustler: [PE, CH] Lockpick, Speech, Barter Infiltrator: [EN, AG, PE] Unarmed, Sneak, Lockpick Medic: [IN, EN] Medicine, Unarmed, Science Mercenary: [PE, CH, FO] Energy Weapons, Barter, Melee Weapons Saboteur: [PE, AG] Explosives, Lockpick, Sneak Scavenger: [CH, IN, AG] Barter, Repair, Guns Scientist: [IN, PE, CH] Science, Energy Weapons, Speech Scout: [AG, EN] Sneak, Guns, Survival Tribal: [EN, FO, IN] Survival, Melee Weapons, Medicine Warrior: [FO, IN, EN] Melee Weapons, Medicine, Unarmed
What class do you prefer? Share your builds for every Fallout game (it's a shame they removed skills in F4...)! |

| Hey @LeoMen14! Nice list of archetypes. My scavenger character: [CH, IN, PE] I do prefer energy weapons instead of powder weapons because of the use of "batteries" (roleplay). I invest points in Barter, Repair and science too, to access terminals and such. Besides lockpick, of course. _________________ My nord character in TESV Skyrim and my new scavenger character in FNV: |

| Hi @"professorleo" Actually perception instead of agility totally makes sense in a role-play perspective because the scavenger character needs to detect valuable objects and potential threats while keeping safe. I tended towards guns because these weapons are far more common and easy to manipulate. But we know the prospector is always looking for hidden treasures... So the choice belongs to the player. Yeah, batteries. It makes me think to the Flashlight NVSE mod in which you can choose an optional battery requirement. Great for immersion. I saw a few screenshots of your character in another topic but I didn't see what energy weapons you usually use. I'm curious now... |

| I guess I'd call my go-to character a Tinkerer: [IN, PE, LK] Repair, Science, Survival - Spoiler:
I can't help but go with a good luck roll on Courier Six, regardless of "class"-type, what after having just survived a shot to the head and all.

| Hy @LeoMen14! My character uses the Wunderwaffe rifle as his weapon of choice. In close combat he uses the laser rifle from the FO4 weapons by @Ansaar. When he is out of the power armor and looting (i use the mod Immersive Power Armor) he uses the Microwave weapon, from Project Nevada. _________________ My nord character in TESV Skyrim and my new scavenger character in FNV: |

| Usually i would go with high charisma and then relatively even across the board, as for skills usually guns, speech and lock-pick so for your classes that would make me the most similar to hustler. However scavenger definitely seems like the most appealing class to me. _________________ - My Achievements:

| @"professorleo" This Wunderwaffe rifle really looks impressive! I think I'm gonna try it in a next playthrough. Thanks for the link! |

| My chars always start up with speech, guns and energy weapons, later only energy weapons cuz of the immersive VATS mod wich only allows energy weapons to use VATS, perception and agility when my level advances and i got better gear _________________ Dies iræ, dies illa Solvet sæclum in favilla, Teste David cum Sibylla. |

| Melee Pyschopath - Melee Weapons, Medicine (for drugs) and Survival. Theres something satisfying about beating your enemy to (literal) bloody chunks against a enemy that , usually, have the range advantage. _________________ |

| Lockpick, Science and Speech for me. They seem the smartest as without those skills you can not even attempt what they offer, whereas with guns, explosives, etcetera they just add bonuses and more damage and stuff. |

| I primarily focus on charisma, intelligence, and luck in my SPECIAL, Wild Wasteland and Skilled for my traits, and I usually focus skill points into Energy Weapons, lockpick, science, and repair. I don't think I've ever actually gotten survival above 50. _________________ Grudge rhymes with fudge.

| Guns, sneak, and survival for me. I tend to try and balance out my SPECIAL each time I play through. _________________ - PC SPECS:

| My robot character prioritizes in energy weapons, repair, and science. As long as he can keep scrapping and repairing and recharging himself, the meatbags can all starve for all he cares. |

| I use a Player Character that I call The Philosopher
His first 3 Skills of Focus are Speech, Mercantile and Science
Speech is used to talk his way through situations with Characters, sometimes leading to very little effort on his part to get a job finished, or even talk his way out of a potential conflict.
Mercantile is used to make as much profit as possible from Merchants along with haggling with other Characters to get the highest payment possible for jobs
Lastly, Science is used because I consider this Character an intelligent individual and what better way to represent that than being highly skilled in Science, not to mention it helps with solutions to some jobs E.g Dr. Henry in Jacobston _________________ - My YouTube - |

| Hitman/Assassin/Career Killer [AG, CH] Sneak, Guns, Barter. Quick, quiet and efficient. But, he's all about that skrilla and will not offer his services unless the contractor is willing to pay top dollar. (Think Deadshot from Suicide Squad).
Most of my favorite created characters in fnv fits this build.

| Usually I roleplay as a hardcore survivalist/ gunslinger with high endurance and agility tagging guns, repair and survival but in my current playthrough I'm doing a mad scientist build with focus on low STR and PER (4 glasses) and very high INT and AG. He's addicted to mentats, likes energy weapons but he's a coward so he relies heavily on robots, terminals, turrets and Arcade Gannon. _________________ Everything by Star. |

| Yeah, FO4 was sure to follow what happened to Skyrim (making the game simple to extend the public), and because of that i do not really care to take perks, actually i go on playing and when i look at it, i have 4 points there. I mostly only spend them to pick requisites.
But, to the class.
As i like a lot the Roleplaying part of the RPG, i do not care much into stats and everything. But in FO3 and FNV my characters were all women of science. They had big INT and CHAR, and were good at computers and with medicine. Usually they knew a bit about repair, small guns and rifles, sneaking and lockpick. My characters in FO4 are in the same boat. The last one i took a bit more of STR only to carry more things (i love carrying junk and lots of armors -from mods- around). _________________ |
