Subject: Hello friends Tue Aug 05, 2014 9:41 am
Hello friends. My name is Demetrius, and obviously I am (fairly) new to VGU. I joined the site about a week ago, and I just noticed this bit of the forums right now (oops). I live in California and I am currently working on my Masters in Physics. I have no modding experience, but I am starting to learn some of the basics. I mainly play single player RPGs, but occasionally I play old school FPS like DOOM and Wolfenstein. Also, I have spent most of my time on here in the troubleshooting section of the forums, because I know the pain of having a problem with a game and not being able to find a fix. I look forward to getting to know you all (or as many as possible at least). See you around the forums!

@maybenexttime Ah it's actually the exact speed of light (in metres per second). I'm a physics nerd after all.

@maybenexttime Was it university level intro to mechanics, or a mixed bag high school physics course? High schools don't typically do the subject justice. I would recommend trying to get your hands on volume 1 of the Feynman Lectures of physics. The subject gets incredibly interesting as you get into things like relativity and quantum mechanics. It is very maths heavy though, so I can understand why so many people get turned off by the subject. However, maths is fun if you give it a chance!

It was university level of physics. I'm actually studying to be a pharmacist. It was physics 101 and 102 smashed into one semester. I think I hated it a lot because it had nothing to do with my major.
