| So I've been still thinking of Halloween, despite it being only a few days ago, and I'm already looking forward to next year. But I just needed to do something spooky, so I could get all that Halloween energy out. I don't write much, but I decided I write a scary story, inspired by my Halloween costume. - The Actual Costume:
Criticism is appreciated but without further ado, here you go. It was late at night, about 6:00pm I would say. I was just settling in for the evening, making a cup of hot chocolate. I walked down stairs to my living room and turned on the TV. It flickered on, and I was greeted with a woman talking about current events in a very monotone voice. I walked over to my kitchen, and put the remote down on the island. I could still see the TV from my kitchen so, while I poured some milk into a pot I would every now and then glance up to the TV. While I was putting the pot onto the stove and heating it up, I heard the news anchor say. “Now to Richard Moore, for the weather.” And the TV which before displayed a woman at her desk, now displayed a man standing in front of a map of my state. I got some what excited when the weatherman said. “It appears the blizzard will be continuing for the weekend, and we’ll most likely see 10ft of snow. Back to you, Lisa.” The news channel then transitioned back to the monotoned woman talking at her desk. Her voice bored me so I continued making my hot chocolate without glancing up at the TV again. After it was done I poured it into a mug and picked it up by it’s handle. Being careful not to burn myself by touching the actual mug itself. In my other hand I grabbed the TV remote, and my phone. I almost forgot to grab the newspaper, and so as I began to walk back to my seat, I had to stop myself and walk back to the Island. I stuffed the newspaper under my arm, and continued back to my couch. I set the mug down, along with my phone on the end table. I moved the newspaper from under my arm to my hand, and sat down. I opened it up, and said to myself after opening it. “Can’t believe they still make these things.” I read through the pages of the newspaper. It was what you would expect, you know the stories like, “small boy climbs tree to save kitten!” And other stupid articles like that. It was on the third page that I found a article that caught my eye. The article title read, “Local family found butchered, no survivors.” I began reading it, and was somewhat disgusted on the event that the article was describing. It described a murder, or murders, of a family of 3. The parents, and child were all found dead. It was then the power went out, and I became somewhat startled by the sudden silence. After jerking my head up and looking around nervously, I kind of giggled to myself. “Sometimes...I really hate the news.” I said as I took the newspaper and threw it to the other side of the couch. I then reached out and grabbed my mug, and took a sip of hot chocolate. After I took my sip, I set it back down on the end table. After that I set my elbow on the armrest and set my head down on my hand, waiting for the power to come back on. I began to drift off, but I jerked myself awake after my phone began ringing. I sighed, and picked it up off the end table. I looked at the number and saw it was a blocked number, so I just set it back down. I looked to my left, out the window, and saw the sun had already gone down, and it was dark out. I always hated the dark. I know, I know, it’s something almost everyone has a fear of it at a young age. It’s just weird because I still have a fear of the dark despite me being almost 25, and living alone. It doesn't help that I live in a pretty remote location. The closest town was like 10 minutes away. It did look pretty though, but I think that’s just because of the snow that was piling up. I just kept watching the snowflakes, that was until my phone began to ring again. I picked it up, and sure enough, it was a blocked number. I signed out of annoyance, and answered it. “Hello?” I said with somewhat of a frustrated tone. I swear when I said that, I could hear heavy breathing. That heavy breathing soon went away and a man’s, deep, but scratchy voice said. “Good evening, miss Daniels.” I didn’t recognize the voice so, I just replied with. “Who the hell is this? And how did you get my number?” There was a silence after I said that, but that silence soon was broken up by the scratchy voice which said. “Oh, that’s not important. What is important, is the little game of hide and seek we are going to play.” I sighed out of frustration and said. “Whatever, look, do you have a reason to have called, or what?” The deep, scratchy voice said. “You’d better get to hiding.” I thought it was just some stupid teenagers having a bit of stupid fun, so I just hung up. After that I decided that I’d get ready for bed. Even though it was only like 7:00pm at this point. I got up bringing my phone, only to set it down on the island in the kitchen. I continued up the stairs and to my bathroom, where I would take a shower. I got undressed, took my shower, and got changed into my pjs. I walked back down stairs only to see my door was wide open. I thought to myself as I looked out into the snow covered front yard, why my door was open. I could of swore I locked it, but it was open, so I just closed it. I looked down though and saw snow had been tracked in. There were also boot prints leading in, and oddly enough, out. I looked around to see if anything was stolen, but nothing was. I knew something was up at this point, so I walked back into my kitchen to retrieve my phone so I could call the police. Although when I got to the island where I had set my phone down, it was gone. My mind began racing and I couldn’t stop thinking of that phone call I got. I just wanted to calm down, so I walked over to the sink and began running some warm water onto my hands and splashing it on my face. I reached out and turned the water off but I continued to look down, just telling myself to calm down. Then I heard a knock at the window above the sink. I looked up, and saw something truly terrifying. It was a man, maybe about 6ft, he had on this creepy mask. It was bunny mask, but it had these two, yellow buttons for eyes, and this eerie, wide smile. The teeth were crudely made, they were fangs, and were yellow as well. The man just stared, with his head tilted. I was so scared I couldn’t even scream. I just stepped back and kept staring at him out of fear. The man's head turned to the other side, and he held up my cell phone. He banged on my window with it. He then walked away. I wasted no time, and ran to my front door and locked it. After locking it, I stood there, thinking of what to do. I looked up and again, he was there. He rattled the door handle, trying to open it. This time, I screamed. “Please, leave me alone! Why are you doing this?” He then just stared at me. I became so scared, I tearing up. Tears slowly began running down my cheeks. He held up his hand and pointed his finger, and wrote on the condensation on the door window. He wrote out, “I want to play.” I was so confused, and scared I ran up stairs and to my room, I threw myself onto the ground and rolled under my bed. I tried to keep as silent as I possibly could. The silence around me soon was interrupted by my front door creaking open. I gasped and took a deep breath. The door then slammed shut, and I could hear heavy footsteps walking towards the stairs. The stairs then began creaking, as I heard heavy steps coming up the stairs. I threw my hand up and covered my mouth. I kept my eyes fixed on the bottom of the door. I couldn’t believe this was happening. The weirdest thing was the mask, this guy was wearing, I think was a crudely made mask of a storybook character from my childhood. The door then slowly opened and a big boot stepped through the doorway. I just watched as the boots slowly walked around my bedroom. I then heard that deep, scratchy voice, that called me on my cell phone. It was the man, talking and as he walked around the room he said. “Do not fear Mr.Bunny. He just wants to play…” He walked to the other side of the bed, and I shifted my head to look. In an instant, I felt his hand come down on the edge of my bed, and I saw the creepy mask suddenly shoot down as the man yelled. “With you!” I screamed and rolled out from under the bed. I shakily got up and ran out into the hallway. I heard him laugh, this eerie, and just insane laugh. I ran down the stairs and out the door into the snow. My barefeet were freezing as soon as I stepped foot outside, but I didn’t care, I was too scared. I looked back to see him standing in the doorway with a chainsaw. He bent his knee down, and started pulling on the chainsaw. It then began to make that sound, you know, the one that sounds like machines screaming. “I found you!” He yelled. I just kept running, until I couldn’t hear the chainsaw. Soon I made my way to a highway, where a man stopped, and took me to the hospital. My feet and hands were frostbitten, but weren’t to the point of needing to have them cut off, or anything. Soon after that event, I moved out of that house, and started counselling. The thing I hate about this now, is when I was at my mom’s house going through my old stuff, I came across a book. The book was my favorite book as a kid. It was about a bunny that played hide and seek with other animals. That bunny’s name was Mr.Bunny as well, and the drawings of the bunny, looked extremely similar to the crudely made mask, that guy was wearing. I couldn’t bear it, so I just took the book and burned it. I’ll never forget the time, I played with Mr.Bunny. _________________ |

| I read that with Mutahar's voice and it seems like that's the kind of story he would read, if you don't know him check him out on youtube and try to post it on his wiki(in which he reads the stuff in there). Also that costume is creepy as hell. |
