That isn't going to happen at all, because Disney declared the entire Expanded Universe after Return of the Jedi to be non-canon.

Actually it could happen. Although pre-disney stuff is non-canon now (it was never officially canon to begin with) The House Of Mouse have already incorporated certain characters and ideas from the EU into their new canon stories. So while i doubt the entire storyline of Thrawn will be included, we could at least see the character himself become part of the canon universe. He's popular enough too, from what i hear. Im more concerned what they do with Boba Fett ^^

I love star wars and always will but will never watch it if disney is making it due to them pissing me off and making anything non-movie not from canon which is complete bull.. I don't care what they say you cannot have something made.. be there for years then just decide, nope didn't happen.

Most EU stuff was declared non-cannon, save the Old Republic era content since it's currently the best way pull tons of cash from Star Wars fans. I was never that big about the majority of the EU content, sure here and there would be solid stories, but the majority felt kind of forced. KoToR and everything it spawned was the best thing to come out of EU, in my opinion. I would kill to see a movie version of some of the Old Republic stuff. But, honestly, Disney's trying to make sure it all stays in a concise story, so many EU stories, although fun to read, never seemed to line up with each other.
I fully get what Disney is doing and hold no resentment towards them for anything related to Star Wars except CANCELLING 1313. If there was ever any good reason to not support Disney's Star Wars antics, it's cancelling the most promising Star Wars game of the decade. Dark and gritty side of Star Wars through the eyes of a non-Force using bounty hunter.
Anyway, I'm a huge fan of the lore of Star Wars, I'l probably see the vast majority of what Disney does. I'm mainly looking forward to their planned bounty hunter spin-off movie.

1313 was NOT cancelled. Get your facts straight. "Company representatives have indicated that the game may be revived through a licensing deal with an outside studio, but until then Star Wars 1313 remains on hold." LucasArts was closed down and I'm pretty sure some of employees were absorbed into Disneys megacorp. I wouldnt be surprised if they used DICE and its Battlefront game as testing the waters, seeing if there's potential in a new Star Wars game and then they might look for a studio that will do 1313.

yes i have heard something like that last week too. there is a women ( forgot her name ) who was a major part of the development from 1313. now that person has announced to make a star wars game and the german gaming magazin "gamestar" thinks that this is 1313.

The project they're working on is for a developer that isn't EA. EA has the sole game production rights to Star Wars games for the next decade. I highly doubt EA, a company that released Battlefield 4 unfinished to outsell their competition, would contract out one of their competitors to make a game. Especially not a Star Wars game, the one currently active game from the Star Wars franchise from EA is the forth highest grossing MMO world-wide. I highly doubt the execs at money-grubbing EA are going to look at the numbers and say "Here's a good idea: let's give production rights to a game that could make us tons of money to one of our competitors."
But I'm just cynical whenever EA's involved in anything since they added the Cartel Market to SWTOR and cash-walled the subscribers out of content.

Anyone who hates SWTOR after it went F2P is despicable and deserves to be decapitated. The game is hated simply because its BioWare and EA. EA for being a company, companies make money, its the real world, get over it. BW for releasing ME3 as it was and we all hated the RGB ending schematic. BioWare apologized with Extended Cut and an EPIC Inquisition and now is making a new Mass Effect while delegating a whole team just to work on SWTOR. So no, you cant diss them for not taking Star Wars seriously, the mmo is amazing. As for Cartel Market and cash-walling? Baseless hate, look at LotRO, Warframe, Aion and other countless MMO's. They dont get half the hate that SWTOR does because theyre not made by EA and LotRO is even worse than EA's strategy. --- As for a new Star Wars game, I cant wait for the new Battlefront game and I'd love to see 1313 done by the same company that made KOTOR and SWTOR or right, thats BioWare. It might be just me but if they'd take the team that worked on DAI and gave them a task of giving 1313 the justice it deserves, we'd get a really great game.

Don't get me wrong, I love SWTOR. I just hate that the subscribers get blocked out of some content as well. If I've played the game since beta and been an active subscriber since it first game out, why on Earth are the Cathar race, armor sets that they showed in the cinematic trailers, changing my character's appearance, and soon to be creating an outfit blocked by a cash wall? There is no reason someone should have to pay $6 for me to buy the Cathar unlock off of the GTN for less than a day's worth of daily grinding credits.
Battlefront is going to be the EA game that forces me to give up my refusal to buy any DICE products. It's been way too long since we had a Battlefront and I'm still playing 2.
I don't mind Bioware, it's just the greedy execs of EA and some of their subsidiaries that make trusting EA very difficult. Like whatever they're planned 4v1 game was called that is now canned but was going to nickle and dime you for every little thing, similar to Evolve. I didn't have as much of an issue with EA before BF4, but that was really what pushed me over the edge. They released a game before it was completed to outsell whatever CoD nonsense was going to be released, didn't offer any type of reimbursement for those of us crazy enough to expect a working game when we buy it day-one, then had the audacity to blame all of the issues on the players' internet connection or console and not them not finishing their game, and what do those of us that stuck through all of the ridiculousness get? A scope for a gun that no one uses. "Sorry we knowingly took your money for an unfinished product and, while getting sued for doing so, refused to even acknowledge it was unfinished to the public. Here's a 3 times zoom scope for a handgun that sees less use than the semi-auto sniper rifle from the DLC which will come with the patch that makes the game playable."

Nothing on the market is mandatory and thats what makes SWTOR good, its just cosmetics or some crap you can get by crafting anyway. You think we (SWTOR players) are being cash walled? LotRO makes you buy whole zones at the price of DLCs and no, they arent newly added zones, its zones that you need for the leveling curve and were in the original game but someone said "Yeah now lets make them pay for it.". You dont go to Dromuund Kaas and see a protocol droid tell you "This planet is available for 19,99$." Just...imho Star Wars as a franchise is doing well on all fronts, it targets adults, teens, kids with games, toys, movies, costumes. Its a well selling acclaimed brand, lets just...have hope.

I should be decapitated cause I'm tired of bioware/ea shoving premium stuff in my face all the time and making me work 3 times as hard for xp? I paid for that freaking game just to be ripped off within 4 months losing my money and no compisation for it. Why make me pay 70 dollars for a game for it not to even last a year before going to free.. thats giving people the middle finger. The only mmo I will play thats free to play are the ones that you buy the game then its free for good, for example secret world.. awsome game and no premium shoved in my face 24/7. With swtor I have to constantly buy stupid coins just to do about anything.
No I am not hating on bioware cause of ME3, I actually loved the ending and don't understand why people hated it.. guess cause it wasn't flying unicorns on rainbows, heroes die and if they cannot except that they don't need to be on earth. I've actually felt bad for bioware for the hate they got because it wasn't people's own dream of how it would end, its their game if they want to end it like that so be it.. seems like a better way to put it to rest. Like said not dissing it, I did like it but just seriously wished it wasn't an mmo.. the reason why I loved Kotor in the first place was cause it was singleplayer.. I just think some games should stay single for obvious reason like fallout/elder scrolls.

SWTOR has his bad and good things, you get a realy nice game in the old republic era and a lot of fun for free. It´s like KOTOR you can spendt your time very well. BUT you get some realy crap things about the story of revan and the exile. Killing the exile and turn Revan in a hysterical litle B*itch. Who get spliten in twice or get killed by some low level hobos who taunt about him like shit and dishonor his corpse. Why they cold just let them in peace?
ME3 ending was ok? You play all tree games to get the best save and them? F*ck midle finger in ya face? If this was on of the ending ok, but so? Even Rage has a better Ending! And the EC don´t make it better why in hell the harbringer don´t shot on the normandy? Or the fuck you guys i´m a dick let all die together, i don´t like to chose some thing.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get some thing again in SW battlefront or other SW game. And yes DA:I make fun but it´s not a true Dragon Age.

Alright so lets not buy ANY mmo because it can go F2P in X months. Oh oh oh idea, how about we demand said ammo, with all its content...for free! And not pay anything to hard working people that definitely had to do overtime like crazy. You are not the only one that paid for SWTOR and you did not lose your money and excuse me compsensation?
Hmm "Hey Bethesda, FO3 is bugged, gimme my money back!" "Hey Rockstar, GTAV halfway through the game bored me, I DEMAND COMPENSATION!". Premium shoved in your face 24/7? Lolwut? I play SWTOR, actually pay subscription because these people goddamn deserve the money for creating an amazing game. I let cartel coins stack up on my account and I havent bought anything. Why? CAUSE ITS OPTIONAL.
No one is forcing you to get Cartel Market optionals. And as a TON of players on Progenitor EU stated, youre better off buying something from Market off GTN for 10k credits, which you can get from what? One daily quest when youre 50/55.

i think saying someone 'deserves to be decapitated' because of a view they hold on a videogame is maybe a bit strong mate. Even if you meant it to sound extreme as a joke, its too easy to take these things the wrong way on the internet.

I just absolutely hate players dissing SWTOR for implementing things that are optional while games that are far worse and market is mandatory get "Hm oh yes its fine". Sorry if I came off too hard by saying the decapitation thing but it really gets me angry.
Absolute, anger, get it? *Wink wink*

Just out of curiosity, tell us some of the examples you think are worse. Always find discussing videogames intriguing.
And yes i got it, *chuckles* ^^

Well...like I said, LotRO where you need to buy everything that was in base game, cosmetics, mounts, whole zones, yes you might get the client for free but they get you on countless things. Then there's my beloved Warframe, huge time walls for some content, limited equipment size that has to be paid to increase. Sure those problems disappear when you start doing Void but for a new player its a nightmare. Hell even Blizzard with its instant 90 thing is worse... What other games...City of Champions or that DC thing, generally those superhero titles, All Points Bulletin, Nosgoth.
