| Haha second topic i've made with a similar shakespeare quote variant, anywho. What kind of rig or graphics card should I get to run Fallout 3 NV, and 4 at a solid 30 or 60 frames per second with ultra settings on everything and the best enb money can bloody buy not over 1538 £ or 2000 US dollars. Currently I'm using: System Manufacturer Acer System Model Aspire E5-573G System Type x64-based PC System SKU Aspire E5-573G_098A_1_25 Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) But im looking to upgrade for better modding use and making, game making and use, with unreal 4 and unity etc. I look forward to hearing from you guys! | Im only gonna touch the GPU so... the best gpu you can buy right now is either the 1060 which is good and the 1070 which is really good.1060,if you wanna save some cash and thats the gpu i'm planning to buy since I am a budget guy and it can handle most games pretty well but some have pretty much the same performance as the 970 or 980 but im not really sure about that.1070 is like the current sweet spot, its very good and you should definitely get it if your not shy to shell some more cash. |

| Hey I have some input for gaming laptop. I travel a lot so I rarely play on my PC and I had to get a gaming laptop for when I'm away. Wanted to get Alienware 15 or an MSI but I figured it would be better if my budget was used for future PC upgrades and other stuff, so I looked for cheaper alternative. I ended up buying Asus ROG GL552VW, with i7 6700HQ, 8 GB of RAM (I upgraded it to 16gb), GTX 960m 4gb GDDR5, 128gb SSD + 1 TB HDD. I don't know how much it is in USD, but it was relatively a lot cheaper than my initial budget (my budget was 4 times the price). And it performs really well. But I don't play with its native 1080p res so I don't know if it'd perform as good at 1080p. Other alternative is Asus ROG Strix GL502VT, it has GTX 970m 6gb (I found out about this model too late). It costs more than my GL552VW, but not ridiculous like Alienware with the same card. There are better gaming laptops with similar price I'm sure. I hope you'll find what you want soon _________________ Dream game: Shenmue - Harvest Moon - Fallout hybrid |

| My first choice of course would be to play on PC instead of laptop. If you don't travel much I suggest you get the 1070 or other great card instead of a gaming laptop, unless you want to and can afford both.
I run most settings on ultra, but I lower my shadow draw distance, use shadowboost, lower God rays, and don't use 1080p. I get good fps, usual drops in busy area, but I can't actually tell if it's because of my card or the huge amount of mods that I use. 960m is midrange, I wish I had gotten the one with 970m. I also use some texture mods and ENB, and a spawn mod and AFAIK it hits fps a lot if set at high enemy spawns.
I mess around with my settings a lot though. Sometimes I turn off or lower some other settings that I don't feel needed, occasionally turn off God rays, lower decals details etc. Especially when I feel like playing on chaotic environment, increasing my spawn level. _________________ Dream game: Shenmue - Harvest Moon - Fallout hybrid |

| @"alde90" Yeah I travel a lot and am most comfy with a laptop. I believe most laptops that come with a 1070 are around 1200 usd. depending. Are there any other factors in performance other then the Graphics card..? _________________ - I Wish.... to Fly to a Place So Far Away:

| Not really. Most laptops that come up with the 1070 have a decent enough CPU anyway to begin with. Modding, you don't really need anything unless you're trying to bake maps: in that case, have a lot of RAM and CPU power. _________________ |

| Regardless of what you buy, make sure that you take advantage of performance/optimization mods.
A very little known but highly useful one for New Vegas is the NVSR memory patch (which you have to do manually). It was literally THE determining factor for whether or not I could run any ENB at a decent FPS, i.e. from 20-25 up to 55-60. _________________ “The worst thing that could possibly happen to anybody would be to not be used for anything by anybody. | @"vahn65" NVSR is the New Vegas Stutter Remover. Hey found this nice list of laptops with 1070 and 1080 http://www.ultrabookreview.com/10939-laptops-nvidia-1070-1080/Forget about my laptop and 970m , I think I want one of these Edit: I forgot to tell you, I play FO3 and FNV on ultra without problem, only lower my settings for FO4 _________________ Dream game: Shenmue - Harvest Moon - Fallout hybrid |

| @vahn65 OOPS... I mean NVSE not NVSR. If you google it it's basically a simple config file for New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) you have to manually make (2 to 3 lines) that helps with memory heaps... the biggest problem with FPS in highly populated areas. _________________ “The worst thing that could possibly happen to anybody would be to not be used for anything by anybody.
