I remember when I first played the OG fallout games. To be honest I want a Redux, so people who just played F3, Fnv, and F4. To see how it all started.

@"BeSPrideL" Well not in the same engine or vegas or F4. But maybe a whole new engine for just those 2 fallout games to redux on. Something to make it feel more of a wasteland. A whole new open world, itll be huge. Because you can walk across America. Or in F2 you can drive around as a way to fast travel faster. In Fnv there is references of the masters army. And I'm sure most people know alittle on the subject. But in F1 to actually fight the masters army to save the wasteland and the vault. Is something to remember for a long time.

I grew up with games like fallout 1 and 2. Played maybe over 600 hours of fallout 3 and new vegas but never managed get past the temple of fallout 1. My dude always missed and died all the time. A redux in a new engine would be awesome:)

@"theoldwise" Same here but I didn't grow with the OG fallouts. Only 3 and Nv. But playing fallout 1 and 2. The stories in them, the quests, and random encounters. Made them legendary. Oh and The temple just use unarmed as a tag skill. Its Op in the later game. Goes good with the enclave power armor and super power fist. c:

Maybe build it on top of Unity 5.

@Katrinawhiterose1 thanks for the tipp - i'll give it a try once i reinstall the game. it made me almost angry that the guys hit nothing five times in a row with an enemy as big as himself and a spear that long..

@lukaboot morrowind. That was the worst! once i wandered to far of some witch (not sure...) attacked me. i missed about 95% of the hits and died..

While it wouldn't stay true to classic fallout style, i think remaking them in the newer engine's would be something a lot of fans would enjoy. They had such great stories and atmosphere's and i would love to see them come to life.

@"Grimmex" couldn't agree more with you. But we will just have to see what the next fallout will be.

I would love to play the original fallout games, their stories are absolutely amazing.
Sadly i'm not fond of the gameplay they have in those two, so that won't happen.

A redux would be an amazing thing to give the new people that came to the Fallout franchise a chance to experience two golden entries.

For now this is the only ongoing remake I know off.

Personally I'm against most gameplay changing remakes as some of the charm of the original games are those sometimes flawed systems.
Let's take for example Skywind trying to recreate morrowind in skyrim , it might look nicer but you loose most of the original game and it just becomes a rip off with often not even half the original power of the inspiration of there project.

I agree that some sort of remake could help get fans for the first games. It doesn't even have to transfer the game into a 3d environment like Fallout 3+ but I agree that the graphics are pretty outdated. A remake like Wasteland 2 with more voice acting, enhanced graphics, enhanced animations, and better combat (fighting deathclaws was just a melee battle with an assault rifle in my experience) while still maintaining the isometric view would be awesome and we're already seeing a resurgence of classic RPGs on the market. However, porting the game to a 3d environment might not be that bad of and idea, except it would probably be way too expensive to create. The older fallout games had tons of more content than the current ones and I don't even know if it would be 100% open worlded because of the way that you travel in-between hubs/cities, would you make the entire wasteland open or continue the fast-travel only way of travel between cities. So many questions.

If we were to get a Fallout 1/2 remake, I hope it either stays in the same isometric view as the originals, or with a new engine if its going to be 3D. I hope Bethesda uses a new engine for the next TES or Fallout, the creation engine is showing its age.

if it does go 3d it should keep the way it plays or maybe just the old games on a better engine with better graphics

Id love for something like a redux for the old Fallouts, I never played them myself but I always wanted to play the first fallout but in the style of NV and 3. maybe when a Steam sale comes by il stop and get em.

Although i really like the 1st/3rd person fallouts i'd love to see an isometric fallout again. I hope the old black isle guys can make it one day.

A recreation using unity 5 (the wasteland 2 uses this i believe) would be awesome
