| Well that was a tad-bit excessive. But it (hopefully) got your attention, didn't it? Anyways, Hello. :hellobig: As I'm hoping to be a future member of this site, I was thinking that the users here could get to know me more.. As you could probably tell by the title, I'm from Scotland or I'm uneducated but I promise it's the former. In 2010, I moved to Canada and have since enjoyed it so far. I'm one of the few people who would rather freeze their asses off than be hot, so the snow isn't really a problem. One of my interests is history. Particularly the Sengoku period in Japanese history, the Roman time period and medieval- early renaissance Europe. I'm quite forgetful so I don't remember historic dates. I just compare an event to when another historic event happened and that's how I tell when something before or after, pretty messy but yeah. I have a small amount of knowledge on recent history but it's not exactly my forte. I also participate in a HEMA (Historical European martial arts) club. My other obvious interest/hobby/addiction is gaming, specifically on PC. I've been an avid PC gamer since I was around 6 years old. I got my first PC at around that age. My family wasn't that well-off, my Dad was a taxi driver so the income wasn't really really stable. The computer itself was pretty good for it's time but I have since gotten a new computer. Some of my favorite games include the Total War series, Command and Conquer Generals + Zero Hour, Rocket League, Crusader Kings 2, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and Mount and Blade: Warband. Oh, and the Fallout and TES series too. I play more games obviously but those are my favorites. Welp. That just about sums it up and creates a pretty big wall of text so.. _________________ "Give me back my frickin' legions, you mong!" - Absolutely Gaius Julius Caesar |

| @"KSI Carbon Core" Lol. I tried ice skating a few times and as I was learning, I managed to cut off the tip of my finger with the ice skate. _________________ "Give me back my frickin' legions, you mong!" - Absolutely Gaius Julius Caesar |

| Hello there and welcome to the family, you'll just fit in with the rest of us! Hope you enjoy your stay here!
I'm a fellow history lover, mostly have my interests in the medieval ages and both the World War era's. Always found it a shame of how they used to each us history, back when I still got it and was in school.
Small example the roman empire: 99% of the stuff we got to learn was trading and it ended with and there where gladiators. Then we instantly moved on to a different era and get more trade history shoved down our throats. |

| @"William Lionheart" That kinda stuff with history education is sadly still happening today, at least in Canada anyway. They don't even teach European or Roman history. My school only teaches Canadian history. As long as there is Canadian or French Canadian participation in a certain event of history, the school will cover it.
For example, they covered the battle for Vimy Ridge. There was a lot more on the table than Canadians fighting but that's all they taught. I've petitioned my school so that students can get a wider range of history education but they denied it and it had over 50 signatures. It might just be my school though. I'm moving on to my last year of high school but it's not fair for the people like me that are younger and want to learn more about history. _________________ "Give me back my frickin' legions, you mong!" - Absolutely Gaius Julius Caesar |

| @AshurForrester Welcome to the forum man i dont think the ''Awerighte lads?'' was bit excessive as i saw it and thought ''fellow brit perhaps? :O'' so it got my attention in a good way ha but welcome dude! gotta admit im a sucker for the Roman side of history and World War 2, never can get enough of the stuff, the roman history of trying to invade Wales and scotland always interested me spesh about ''The Wall'' with scotland, at the mo im playing total war warhammer but not enjoying it as much as i did the rome franchise of total war, anyways dude enjoy the forum and hope to see you around |

| @"Ashi Itachi" Yes! I love the Roman conquest of Briton. Has to be one of my favorite pieces of Roman history. Maybe that's a bad thing, now that I think about it.. Another one of my favorites would have to be the Punic Wars. I find them fascinating :O. I've been meaning to get Total Warhammer, but I haven't gotten around to it. Mainly because I tend to wait for all the DLC to come out and I'm meant to be doing an online course on programming with C++ and Python yet here I am lol. _________________ "Give me back my frickin' legions, you mong!" - Absolutely Gaius Julius Caesar |
