I'm trying out a bunch of ENB's, and photo realistic commonwealth default brings me to a dodgy 40 fps on my GTX 970. I really like the look of it but I cannot stand 40 fps. I'm hoping I'm not the only one who is like this.

Ugh for fallout 4 it brings me down to 40/30 fps. New vegas with an enb and the highest graphical mods gives me 60 fps consistently, but fallout 4 is almost unplayable at times. I have a 970 too, and it bothers me because it was recommended for running fallout 4 on ultra and should've been powerful enough, but apparently isn't.

I'm getting 30fps with it at peak with my GTX760.... I want to buy the 1070, but it's so damn expensive ;(

Give it time dude , the cards will drop in price as soon as they get crushed by way better 1080ti models and such

i plan to get a 1080 next year so yeah

just got a 1070 and my game is running on a stable 60 fps! its limited to that by the enb, havent tried to increase it yet

GTX 780, running at 72 FPS with the Cinematic Excellence ENB. I had to do a lot of performance tweaks and there's still the occasional dip here and there but it doesn't dip below 60 too often. I absolutely hate going below 60 so I always lower settings.

@Havoc How is that 1070 compared to like, SLI 970s? Worth the upgrade?

Why are you using ENB's for FO4, man ? It looks lively enough already.  

I get good performance, but I do turn some things off for optimal performance. AO and AA I have off, but AA off because the TSAA makes me sick. Shadows at high resolution instead of ultra, 'cause ultra is like 4K res. Shadow distance at medium because Bethesda supposedly broke it. But that could have been a thing just at launch.

Remember bethesda used the same engine as skyrim and since they didn't used a band new engine for the current gen it causes fallout 4 to become unstable and the old engine can't handle the graphics well in fallout 4 so my fps when am in cites drops from 60 to 30 fps and when i build big ass settlements it drops to 20 fps.

Solid 70fps on fallout 4 with cinematic enb.

Specs: GTX970 Superclocked, 8GB DDR3 Ram, Core i7 4790 Overclocked, SSD

One thing to note; after playing for a good few hours with a couple of other windows open in the background my RAM gets very full :/ Thinking of getting another 8GB

Also Fallout 4 vanilla looks kinda....shite.... least on my computer, even on max settings.

just posting but on my laptop Fnv i have no Enbs but I have 124 mods active and usually run about 30 fps. Getting a desktop in a couple weeks too.

I have never really minded 30 fps as long as its a single player game, for instance my Evga 970 is overclocked to a stock 980 and i still don't get a solid 60 fps on my heavily modded fallout 4 (custom reshade), or fallout NV for that matter (I would hate to think it is the VRAM) though I am downloading some optimized texture packs so that might change, I usually just run the game at forced double v-sync so i can still brag to my brother that i have a smooth 30 fps compared to his Xbox's stutters
