| @keatit71: Right, bake the systems of those who don't even know what's going on (if that video isn't a hoax to begin with). Real helpful genius: there was nothing to sum up in the video. _________________ |

| Completely bricking someone's console is just wrong. Especially since the users of console mods had no way in knowing whether or not the mod is stolen.
The main point that I drew from the video is that there is still an open window for malicious scripts to be uploaded to Bethesda.net with the potential of users suffering from it as a result. _________________ |

| @Limitlessness Knew it... Still, while may say he just pulled the chord, there was some message that kept popping up that kept stalling the game. Probably just the mod itself, but still, this whole mod thing has become toxic amidst gamers for some time. Mod piracy has gone on for a while even before consoles, so the fiasco seems to be just as bad as a political debate lol. _________________ "Ante up."

| @PROROOK363, The pop ups could have just been parts of other mods as well, They can just be notes from the author as well as instructions for the mod; similar to the DLC pop ups when exiting the Doc's house in New Vegas. Mod piracy has been around for a long time and will always occur no matter what. The issue with Bethesda.net is that they opened the flood doors on a larger level with a more direct access to the public. Backwater piracy sites get less traffic and notoriety than sites such as the Nexus. The point being is that a well established company known to the console gaming community released a modding client with little countermeasures to combat piracy. Mods are getting pirated with a much higher amount of download traffic as a result. _________________ |

| @Limitlessness Very true indeed. Some countermeasures have been implemented however, so we'll see how effective that is for the time being _________________ "Ante up."

| It's probably not possible to brick a console, only savegames. But Gopher made a video about the DD stuff and he said, how you could be able to damage consoles. _________________ Nuka Cola. Nuka Cola never changes. |

| Bricking a whole console is definitely easier said than done. Is it possible? Sure. They brick themselves every so often without the user running crazy stuff.
Though, I certainly can't find fault in the average gamer who sees a cool mod and downloads without thinking about where it may have come from. In fact, that same situation is what led me to GUN in the first place, with Cpt. Rex's RC armor for New Vegas. I think we've all been there at some point in time. But what I can and will certainly find fault in is the entitled attitude of the thieves who download and reupload mods to Bethesda. There is a Reddit thread I follow where Unoctium (?) chimed in, and commented on a screenshot of a thief attempting to justify his theft. Needless to say, this attempt at justification did not go over well with anyone save a few oddballs. Console mods may be the catalyst to an influx of new mods and modders into the community, but without adequate support from Bethesda, and this cancerous set of thieves, I don't see many people wanting to leverage their creativity just to watch it get stolen. _________________ We have arrived, and it is now that we perform our charge.
